Wooo I destroyed a shadow orb and got a musket! Guns should be better at killing these monsters now.

Those are too advanced for me. :P

Is it worth buying the flintok pistol?

Oh, and I've just randomly been attacked by the Eye of Chtulu...whilst underground. I only managed to hurt it 200 points. Will it stay hurt? I got killed.

A good bow or an enchanted boomerang works best against EoC. Make some unholy arrows and spam the svcker. It also helps if you set up a location specifically for fighting it. And keep a close eye on your health. Once it gets below halfway, down a health potion.

Wait till you fight Skeletron. He has a 6000HP main head with two 1500HP arms that attack you.

More successes. Today I got my first meteor landing - after having already smashed 8 Shadow Orbs and battled 2 EoW and 2 EoC. And before I could venture off to explore it, I got hit by my first goblin invasion. Thank goodness I had finally (finally!) found some glowing mushrooms with which to make the regular healing potions.

And no... Still haven't ventured off to meteor-land. Instead, I decided to try a Hamachi server to see what all the fuss was - so few of us appear to have had success with MP. I was able to connect to myself just fine. Perhaps someone else can try to connect to my world.

-Server IP: 5.3.157.145
-World name: Mysteria (large map)
-Password: beth

Please note - this is just a test. I might host via Hamachi if it works... But I don't play every day (or week, even) and this computer won't stay on all the time - so I'd have to just pop in and say 'Server Online' if that's the case.

You don't need hamachi since the last patch.

Try again. Maybe it's because my Hamachi password was initially different.

 I tried without, and couldn't even connect to myself, port forwarding and all. At least with Hamachi I got it going on my local computer.

Did you type "localhost" as the IP? That's how I connect to myself.

Ah. No. I've only ever tried with my server IP. If people still can't connect, perhaps I'll try the original way again.

Okay, I've reset to the original method. Try IP 137.186.44.92 this time. Same password. If that doesn't work, then I'm out of options and will have to retire for the night.

Edit... And I'm spent. Sorry it didn't work out, folks. The "server" is going offline.

Is the flintock pistol worth buying?

I had another question but I forgot what it was.

The answer is yes to both questions.

I'm trying to create an obsidian factory. How do you manage to get LOADS of lava? 50 buckets?

The idea is having lava on the right side, and water on the left side. I use the lava pool to fill up one bucket, and place the bucket in the middle of the bottom "tunnel". I break that one block (clay) and the water pours down onto the lava.

Basically this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGj3-0r8D8Q

But this will take LOADS of lava.

EDIT: I've just realised I can't mind obsidian. I need a nightmare pickaxe. Goddammit. Still, can someone help me out?
