Terrible frameskipping

Post » Tue Nov 09, 2010 9:41 am

Everytime i walk forwards or sidewards the screen skips , frameskips. I've tried the dx dll file thing and it hasn't fixed it. System checked , it's only just been installed on a new ssd drive!

I also used the ifpsclamp although that stops the frameskipping the game goes into slow mo because of that option :(

tried loads of drivers even the latest and downclocked to test

If you are going to ask about SOUND, why won't you include information about drivers and about the sound processor?

I'm getting this also, it seems to happen only in easily rendered areas for me. Never outside looking into the distance, but inside looking at a container and a wall. It's like the game goes too fast for it's own good and looses something in the process.

I was about to do the ifpsclamp but I'm worried about slowmotion.

What about iFPSClamp=50 or iFPSClamp=40? Do settings like that work?

I used to get the problem in Fallout 3 also on the 360, but only if I installed the game disc to the hard drive, never if I just ran it from the disc. Weird. It's a engine thing, wish I knew what caused it.

btw, what is this joker talking about sound for?
