I have no idea what's going on, but I've been trying all day to fix it;
I haven't played in about a month, but a month ago my loading times weren't upwards of a minute. They averaged about three seconds and at most took six or seven seconds, that's with Ultra settings, tons of graphics mods and other mods in general.
I tried to play with the exact same things; nothing changed at all, and my loading time getting into the game was four minutes long. Fast traveling takes a minimum of thirty-five seconds. Going into a building takes about a half a minute, then the same coming out.
So I uninstalled everything, all the mods and the game itself. I completely reinstalled the game, vanilla with and without the HighRes texture pack by Bethesda; same issue.
This should NOT be happening. My computer is more than capable of handling anything Skyrim can throw at it.
I have a Radeon HD 7850 2GB overclocked at 1450MHz,
16GB of DDR3 RAM,
Two 2TB 7200RPM harddrives,
and an Intel i7-3770 CPU @ 3.4GHz (8CPUs).
I'm stumped. I've spent all day trying to fix it; turn on vsync, turn off vsync. Turn on a cap, turn off the cap. Make a new save and start over. Make sure your save isn't over 15MB -- it's at 4.5MB. I just don't get it, I don't see what the problem is and as far as I know it shouldn't have a problem at all.
If anyone can tell me something that fixes this problem, I will be forever grateful. As it stands, I can't play the game; I really can't. This waiting time is just too high, I could deal with 20 seconds even but this is just insane. I'm spending more time watching the loading screen than playing the game; it used to be I couldn't read the first half of the loading screen before it was done.
