Terrible reverb during dialog with headphones.

Hi everyone. I hope I can get your help with something. While playing the game with my Sennheiser HD 558 open backed headphones I get really bad reverb while anyone is talking, especially when my character speaks outside a conversation, for example "How you doing, buddy?" When I talk to the dog or "I want to trade a few things." With a companion. What I mean by reverb is like having two sauce pans over my ears.

I have had this problem come up before with some games but not with others. Its fine with the Witcher 3 for example.

I normally play with a Turtle Beach surround sound processor called a DSS 2, so I thought it might be that. But I've also tried it with the headphones plugged right into the tv (for that I set my audio settings to HDMI out and Linear PCM). Still there.

I've tried it with a pair of closed backed Sennheiser headphones, the HD 202 and the reverb is not as bad however its still there.

So has anyone who plays with headphones noticed the same thing? If you haven't can I ask what headphones you use and how you have them connected?

Thanks guys.
