Well this is turning out to be pretty one-sided.

Take heed, Bethesda.

i think combat mechanics [while kinda goofy] should be rewarding enough for this particular game, and going forward can only get better, its just natural progression from here out. and if they get drasticly better next time around it will likely be due to community influence

i think where skyrim NEEDS to shine is in the world itself, morrowind went to some serious lengths to help define simple game mechanics like silt strider travel and levatation, as well as imperial laws and restrictions throughout the country. its lore interwoven with the game mechanics at its finest. oblivion was lacking in this regard. i think thats partially due to it being the first game in the series to incorporate full voice acting.

If you want to be hionest they primarily focuses on action in skyrim and i have to say it was an improvement. They barely took away from the RPG elements and they HEAVILY improved combat because of it and I for 100% approve. If I wanted to play a game like morrowind (in which i the found the combat to be EXTREAMLY boring btw) I would go play morrowind.

I really wish Bethesda saw that poll and saw what theyre doing wrong.

I'd love rpg elements like gray moral choices or even some moral choices, freedom in how to approach quests and everything else, having in depth dialogue with characters with lots of options that suit different types of player characters, more interesting and living characters and a more immersive, bigger and living world. But the things op listed would be fine too. Bethesda already improved combat a lot (though could be improved even more) which is secondary in an rpg anyways so there's no need to concentrate on that.
