TES: Arena

Post » Wed Dec 22, 2010 2:58 pm

I tried downloading TES: Arena off of the Elder Scrolls official website. I downloaded the Setup, and now I have a folder on my Desktop named "ARENA". I have no idea what to do from there. Can anyone help me? BTW, I'm not the most tech-savvy, so layman's terms are always nice.

There's a sticky about installing and running past Elder Scrolls games right in this very forum. For your convenience, here's a direct link: http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=479044

Does that still work the same with the latest version of DOSBox? It was written for 0.72 and the new version is 0.73.

Okay. Now it says that I need to mount my directory or something like that. How do I do that?

For us not so tech savy guys and girls there is a Dosbox Front-End that does all this for you.

It is called D-Fend Reloaded and is fairly to use, I think.

Here's the link:

I use this program since I'm on a Danish computer; Dosbox is apparently for a US computer. The keys are not placed in the same places apparently...

It'd be ideal if you learned how to use DOSBox though. You can do much more in terms of customization that way. Plus, who doesn't get all nostalgic about having to type commands in order to run a game? :D
