TES 6 Being set in the Past?

Post » Mon May 07, 2012 9:45 pm

I was reading the post where people think other places should be done but its all been done before. I really do think all this lore should be wrapped up before it becomes way too out of hand and confusing.

I would like to see a Pangea type setting with beaches, jungles, deserts, mountains, and more ocean setting with boats. The setting would be the past kinda like a prequel. Where it could be the Lost Elder Scroll or something. I want all this lore to be wrapped up. Have all the lore races playable and totally take this in a new direction. Lore races would include

Dwemer
Snow Elves (Falmer)
Ayleid
Imga
Kothringi
Nede
Maormer
Lilmothiit
Aedra and Dremora (Maybe do something with how they became gods?)

Maybe the main story line could be something like the Dwemer at war with the world at the time with the Snow Elves and Ayleid as their main rivals... I think with technology as fast as its growing, that doing a whole pangea type where all the continents are still together wouldnt be out of out of reach by the time its completed.

Edit: Tried to put a poll here but didnt work. Could a mod please do this for me? Really dont want to make a duplicate thread

The Maormer being on Tamriel at the same time of the split between Bosmer, Aldmer, Ayleids, Falmer, Chimer and Dwemer is incredibly unlikely.

The Falmer fighting the Dwemer is even more unlikely due to the theory that it was the Dwemer that took the Falmer in after they lost the war to the Ysgramor and the Nedes, making the Falmer fighting anyone while the Nedes are on the continent incredibly unlikely.

I'm also at a loss as to explain how the Ayleids and the Nedes counterexist seeing as the Ayleids enslaved what could probably be described as most of what the Nedes were to become.

Lastly I have no idea about your whole concept of Daedra and Aedra becoming gods. There are no Aedra as you seem to mean them, only the Nine Divines (or less, depending who or what you wish to call a Divine). They never BECAME gods as such, unless you're talking about Reman or Talos. Neither did the Daedra either, unless you're talking about Mehrunes, Meridia or Boethiah. How the Princes and Aedra came to be is made relatively clear (as clear as can be said for most Elder Scrolls games), and there have been numerous explanations of such.

Although theorizing on how the Dremora came to be is interesting as there is evidence and theories suggesting that they in fact were not created by Dagon, there is no evidence to suggest that they were in Cyrodiil partying with Umaril the Unfeathered, either.
