This might be a dumb question but I was just curious as to how many books are their for the Elder Scrolls series and what are they called? I really want to get them in prep for Skyrim.

I suggest you read "The Infernal City" and "Lord of Souls" (in that order). They take place between TES IV: Oblivion and TES V: Skyrim.

So far, Bryn has named both. Who knows, though, if we're lucky there may be more someday, although there has been literally no word regareding that in any capacity, official or otherwise.

But dibs if they do.

Tengen, if I were you I'd pull an Andy Dufresne and mail Bethesda a letter every week requesting an opportunity to write for them.

Oh, that would just be annoying, I think. They know I write. Gstaff himself retweeted the story linked to in my signature (that you should all go read right this second the more people readithebetterchanceIhaveofwinningtheircontest) so if they have a story thought up that they think I am equipped to write, they know where to find me.

Do it anyway. Then they'll have no choice!

Also, yeah those are the only two books. But it doesn't really close the 200 year gap. It happens 40 years after Oblivion and both books only span maybe a few months to a year or so. It references some things that happened over the last few decades, but not really a whole lot. Still good reads, though. Very quick, too. Look on Amazon, I pre-ordered them both at good prices.
