Hah, I just came back from playing some casual magic at the local games store (we play every monday night for like 6 hours
). And the community there is quite nice.
Liking Innistrad so far, especially since I play around token cards quite heavily.
"What is that ? A two headed giant game where my opponents have one guy who can soak up nearly any attack and keep me and my ally on the defense while the other opponent builds up his army of overpowered Slivers whom you are only allowed to play with on casual nights ?"
*Looks at his hand...*
"Hmmm, http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=249397, a http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=217981... some mana... oh and what is this ? http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=249662! And is that a http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=233242 !?
"Yeah, you know what, never mine your Slivers."
And I haven't even integrated some great Innistrad cards into my deck such as the enchantment that gives all tokens you control +1/+1 and vigilance.
As for a Skyrim or a TES trading card game ? I guess it could be fun if it was just generally a TES trading card games with expansions based on the current game that is out and obviously being based on the older games.
Player 1:"I use my [Insert Resource] to put a Nix Hound on the field and I attack you with my Kwama Forager for 1 damage!"
Player 2:"Not so fast! I tap X much mana to cast a spell on your Kwama Forager! "Destruction:Damage Strength" your Kwama Forager deals 2 less damage until the end of this turn!"
Player 1:"Pff fine, you'll only regret wasting that spell on my Kwama Forager next turn when I attack you for 3 with my Nix Hound..."
