TES: Elite

Post » Sun Dec 11, 2011 2:55 pm

I think The Elder Scrolls should have a service like Call of Duty: Elite where I can look at my friend's characters, see their stats (ex. how many people they've killed), see their gear, see what quests they've done, etc. and compare it to my own progress. That'd be pretty sweet. I can see what level my friends are while they're playing and I can view their achievements but I really don't know how our progress in the game compares.

I wouldn't be interested. At all. But you want that kind of thing, more power to you.

Well, I know on the 360 you can compare achievements and when your friends are playing it displays their race and level. If you are on PC I can only assume Steam has something similar.

So the dreamer wishes to gaze into the dreams of other. Not knowing whether those dreams are true or not, in the end aren't all dreams and text and prophecies and tales and tales true. For he who realized he was part of the dream, who was to say he couldn't realize other dreams of other gods of other dreamers of other writers of other authors and witness them to be true, or not true. Maybe not lies but still not quite the facts and statistics one would hope for, whose to say these aren't the machinations and dreams and fears and hopes of those who have long since lived and are yet to live.

Can't you just ask your friend all this through the messaging system? Your friend replies with the data, then you send your data.

I just think it'd be a cool idea , I mean there's a lot of interesting stats just hidden away. Like on WoW I like to view my friends' gear and stuff, I think it'd be cool to do the same here. Even though it's a single player game, make it a social experience. Link my game to Facebook, let me post statuses when I clear dungeons or do something cool, let me interact while I play..

I prefer battle log :P

Not a bad idea though, steam and achievements kinda does that but no where near the extent your talking.

In a singleplayer game, it's pretty pointless. Especially if they charged for it.

Being able to check out eachother's stats and accomplishments would be pretty neat.

Nobody will care on Facebook about your status updates or mines about some game, really. All it would do is alienate the people on there or even worse. block/consider your automated posts spam. I much rather see a system like Battlelog/Autolog which EA uses a lot lately.

Yeah, it was actually running when BF3 came out!

Also what OP is describing is more reminescent of WoW Armory I'd say. As it does everything he wants.

I wouldn't care either way. I'd rather just show off in pics and stories though.

So I can play the game in a social way and have some interaction with friends and others also playing the game. So I can see how their playthrough differs from mine. So I can see some items they may have found that I haven't. Why wouldn't you want it? Most of the stat tracking in Call of Duty Elite is free, and it's crazy in depth. Same for WoW, tons of free information available. Obviously people use it if it's there.

Yeah, Fable III kind of had that social tracking going on and it was cool in that to play a game singleplayer but be aware of what your friends have done.

That sounds like a really cool idea to be honest. Watch out for the arrogant PC elitists though. They won't be to happy with you for making this thread.

Dude, he was just asking for a service to compare stats between characters.

That's not a bad thing. You don't have to attack him like a dike, and make yourself seem even more immature than him. He phrased his request legibly, understandably, and reasonably. You came off as a rude jerk.

And how would it effect you negatively, anyways?

only if it were 100% free unlike elite which is basically "pay $5 a month for 2 maps"

so call of duty has a service dedicated to stalking the game progress of other people? and you want one for skyrim, so that your only in-game interaction with other people will be anonymous oggling of their stats?

the internet generation scares me :cold:

Why would you want to see stats items etc and interract with other people in a strictly single player game?
