TES V vs. Fallout 4?

Post » Sun Jan 02, 2011 2:16 am

TES V. Enough Fallout for now (though i love all the Fallout games), Oblivion came four years ago, i think it is time for a sequel.

It seems that about 3/4 of the people want TES V and this is in the Fallout forums. I hope the message becomes clear for Bethesda.

TES V, no contest. I just hope we don't end up with a TES mmo instead.

Depending on NV, which I don't doubt will be superb anyway, I suspect Bethesda may contract Obsidian again to do FO4.

That way they'd only need to oversee FO4, allowing them to work on an ES title at the same time without compromising quality.

TES V. Fallout 3 and New Vegas are enough from that series. As others have said, it's been 4 years since we last saw an Elder Scrolls game. It's long overdue.

Yeah, seriously, I'm craving more ES lately. I'm weary of FO3, i just got the original trilogy to play through, and NV is coming in a few months. I will soon be very sick of post-apocalyptia. Iv'e had enough mutants and scavenging, bring on the swords and sorcery. It's time.

Oblivion svcked......the story made you into an insignificant errand boy that ultimately ended up completely unknown and you didn't even defeat the great baddie.....you were a crappy little ant in the middle of somewhere where you had no business so if you like stories that amount to: "hey punk go get my left sock from over there and my right sock from that other place, make me some tea, do my laundry and oh I'll then be able to turn into this super dinosaur crap and defeat the big evil threatening this world." then by all means ask for TES......the pile of svck story.

Dude, Oblivion's main quest ending rocked. Watching Martin turn into Akatosh and kick Dagon's ass was supremely satisfying on a number of levels. You're baked. High ranking Dremora were enough of a boss for me. Although your post is incredibly funny.

I love Fallout, but I love TES more and two Fallout games before the next Elder Scrolls game is plenty. It's Elder Scrolls time.

Have we had a game in the Bosmer homeland (I think its Valenwood)? I'd like that, Elswery would be awsome too, isn't Elswery a desert?
They better announce this to us at E3,so cruel that they have been hiding everything for 4 years.
The northern region of http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Elsweyr is a desert, whilst the south is a tropical jungle. =P

Also by the powers of Akatosh, I need TES V. Srsly. But I've got my hopes not on the lush desert-jungle of Elsweyr, but the Nordic frozen mountains of Skyrim.

I'm sure there I read something where it was almost confirmed that the next game would be in Skyrim, something about how they trademarked the name. But anyway TES please<333

Yeah, they copyrighted the name Skyrim back in '05, just a year before Oblivion came out.

todd howard was commenting in an interview about how uniqiue fallout 3 is and thats what he liked about it, and he compared some of the things with the elder scrolls compared to fallout 3 and how in the elder scrolls it could of been in any of the fantasy type games but how fallout 3 had a uniqueness about it that oblivion didn't have, but anyway bethesda bought the rights to fallout completely to develop it and work on it according to pete hines, and obviously we have NV coming out and it will be a huge game just like FO3 was and so i'm pretty sure thats the wave they are riding, they don't want to let ES fans down but todd howard did seem to deal a crushing blow to ES when he said "not to be looking for ES any time soon" that was just late last year. so i am expecting a fallout 4 before an ES. maybe this is the end of ES for a while, after all there are lots of fantasy type midevil games so there is no rush to do another ES right away, fallout is a smashing success, and rightfully so its a great game.

You don't follow the TESV speculation thread, do you? There's enough evidence to pretty much guarantee TESV will be announced in the next GI(which should be in less than a week or so).

TES V, TES has amazing lore, not cliche fantasy, and I enjoy TES more than Fallout (not by much).

Something completely different
Fallout
Elder Scrolls

In that order.

The only character I remember from Oblivion was that female orc that wanted to be a knight. And I don't even remember her name.
Names like Moira, Three Dog, Mr Burke, Sticky and all the others will stay with me for a long long time.

For the last 25 years 95% of all the games I've played have been Fantasy, and I'm really tired of orcs and elves
That being said, I would still buy TES V in a heartbeat, simply because I really really love the gameplay of Bethesda RPGs

Oblivion was released in 2006, Fallout 3 in 2008, and now we have New Vegas coming as well... I'd say it's enough FO for now, we need more TES. ;)

Agreed

TES V. Although it's been so long since I've played an Elder Scrolls games...can't even bring myself to play Oblivion, not even with mods. Hmm...I need more Morrowind.
