TES V vs. Fallout 4?

Post » Sun Jan 02, 2011 10:24 am

I couldn't really think of were to put this but, would you rather have Bethesda's next game being TES V or Fallout 4. I would rather have TES V since I have been waiting for it for 4 years, and Fallout New Vegas will tide me over for the Fallout series. This should all be announced at E3 though.

im hoping TES V i love the fallout series, but the TES games are much more fun to play, and role play, in. im hoping the next TES is set in Elswery (Khajit homeland) b/c i love Khajits ( druggie kitties ftw!) and think a desert with a Persian-ish theme would be a great setting

Oblivion was released in 2006, Fallout 3 in 2008, and now we have New Vegas coming as well... I'd say it's enough FO for now, we need more TES. ;)

Have we had a game in the Bosmer homeland (I think its Valenwood)? I'd like that, Elswery would be awsome too, isn't Elswery a desert?
They better announce this to us at E3,so cruel that they have been hiding everything for 4 years.

I'd prefer a new Elder Scrolls over Fallout.

They used that kind of a setting in Hammerfell already in TES II.

Elder Scrolls. And please more Morrowind originality and no stupid rewriting previous jungle areas to stereotypical medieval fantasy lands.

I'm more of a Fallout fan than I am a TES fan but I still want TES V more. Mainly because we Fallout fans are getting a new game in a few months, and the TES fans have been waiting for 4 years. Hell I've only been waiting 2 years and I'm quite anxious for a new game, I can't imagine how the people who have had to wait 4 years feel.

Hopefully this long development time that TES V seems to have had will mean an even better game than Bethesda's previous titles. I really hope for a return to the kind of game Morrowind was, but that's admittedly a longshot.

Bring on FO4. Magic and the warm, fluffy world always ruins TES for me. Dont care for any of the lore either. Im very biased.

It will not be Fallout 4. It will either be TES 5 or some new franchise. They wouldn't want to steal the Fallout thunder from FO:NV at E3.

I want to know what you prefer, not which you think will come first.

Fallout 4

:cryvaultboy:
i agree, oblivion was a great game but once fallout 3 came out i became much more interested in fallout, i like the whole post apocalyptic world setting, there are plenty of midevil type of fantasy games around. just listen to todd howards interviews and how to talks about fallout, by the way when asked about TESV todd howard did say to not be looking for it anytime soon. they attained the rights to fallout to continue the series and develop it, thats what pete hines said, and thats what is going on now with new vegas. so i'll be looking for an announcement on the making of fallout 4 prob by next year.

Fallout fans had FO3 in 2008 and are getting FNV in a few months. The last TES game was in 2006. Bring on TES V.

This is the same company that denied they were working on any expansions for Oblivion two months before they announced the Shivering Isles expansion.

Also 'Soon' in the gaming industry can be a very short time. As little as six months.

I'm expecting to hear about ESV BEFORE FO4. For several reasons...

1)A lot of Bethesda's fans are also Elder Scrolls fans and are waiting for the next game in the series. Bethesda putting FO4 ahead of that would be a mistake. There'll be a lot of angry fans, many of whom bought Fallout 3 because it was from Bethesda and they needed some Beth-ness to occupy them till ESV.

2) Not enough time for FO4 to have been developed. FO3 was only released in 2008, Bethesda reps have appatrently said that their next big project began development during FO3's dev cycle. This precludes it being FO4 as you don't work on the sequel until you know the current one is a success.

3)New Vegas. Having FO4 come out so close to NV runs the chance of an oversaturation of Fallout.

4)Elder Scrolls is and always will be Bethesda's primary series. They created it, they made it and it's what they made their name with. They won't just throw it by the wayside.
