14 Ks.Even if its the Pirates thats just amazing.looks like I found at least my national league team.

I saw it after one out in the 7th. Striking out 2/3 of the hitters you face in your MLB debut is pretty good, huh?

Did anyone else hear about Griffey?I feel bad for him, he has such a great legacy and it seems like after the injury he just lost popularity.I really don't like how two teammates sold him out to the Tribune either. It should of never left the clubhouse. In fact I just get sad when I think about what could of been with Griffey.I think he would be the HR career champ over that joke Bonds.

I have a 10.0 mint condition graded rookie card of his. If only...

My Reds are showing signs of falling apart. Or, rather, the bullpen is a complete disaster (aside from Sir Arthur Rhodes) and the offensive has gone back to its inconsistent self. UGH!!!

He should be fired. The umpires should be held accountable like everyone else out here in the real world. He and Don Denkinger can reminisce about it over a beer someday.

Michael Stanton, the other rookie "can't miss" phenom who debuted tonight had a nice game for Florida as well. 3/5 with 2 runs scored and OPB of 1.200.

I am curious as to what the M's are doing with Dustin Ackley?Apparently he has been solid so I don't see why they don't bring him up.Can't do much worse than anybody else on that team hitting wise.

I have no idea what they are doing, not sure they do either. I did find this blurb:

Player News (last updated: June 1, 2010)
News: Ackley rebounded from a terrible April to hit .303/.475/.447 in 25 games during May at Double-A West Tennessee.
Spin: A September callup to Seattle isn't out of the question, but the Mariners have Chone Figgins and Jose Lopez are already locking down second and third base, so Ackley may have to change positions again depending what type of roster shakeup takes place between now and then. Ackley's eye at the plate (35:27 BB:K) and ability to hit line drives seem to be his greatest strengths, but he's gone deep just once in 151 at-bats this season. The good news here for fantasy owners is that he's flashing some potential on the basepaths, with five steals in six attempts this season.

They say 2B and 3B are locked up but he is listed as a 1B on ESPN, not sure why they couldn't bring him up to play there.

No posistion should be locked up on this team.Figgins can go to hell.I don't care what they think when you are supposed to be a contact hitter and you are below .250 this far in the season he needs to take a seat.Call up Ackley and sit that bum.Your in last place it can't really hurt and maybe it will make Chone take his head out of his rear.Kotchman is batting below .200 and Lopez is batting below .250.

In the beginning of this year this team looked pretty good. They did not lose much and they improved their rotation a ton.If they are not able to make a late season comeback than I would talk to Ichiro and see if he wants to go somewhere else.He deserves to play on a winning team.Damn Felix Hernandez needs to go.He has had one good year and other wise he is just good for strikeouts.I am tired of waiting for this supposed King to prove himself. They just need to rebuild all together if this season continues as it is.

I'd like to trade RP Ryan Franklin of the St. Louis Cardinals in exchange for a good OF or UT player with + Average and some SB's as well. I'd also be willing to package either Jay Bruce or Hideki Matsui as well in order to get someone good. Who's interested???

I have too many outfielders, so if anyone is interested in one not named Bourn or Pence hit me up. Apparently I need pitching now. :/

What could I do to take either Carlos Lee or Josh Hamilton off of your hands?

I'm going to have to hold off on that right now, Ordonez has been in and out of the lineup this week and Rasmus hasn't played since sunday. I'll look over your roster though. Lee is just taking off so even though he's struggled this season, he's still worth a lot to me.

Yeah, Lee is bound to bounce back. But with Hamilton I'm afraid because he always gets hurt.

I haven't had a starting pitcher come close to winning, it's been a bad week.

I thought I'd post mainly so you guys don't think I dropped off of the face of the earth. My team finally seems to be shaping up, and I hope that means I'm poised to make a run. I apologize for not posting much in the thread, I've just been a bit busy with work and RL.

I'm sure we could manage the rest of the season with 9 teams. I have the power to make it happen :P:

Wow, I was worried about Jake Peavy after having to push back his start a couple days, then he goes out and pitches a 3 hit shut out. That dude is confusing me more than the movie Traitor...

Has he really played that many games? It really doesn't seem like that many.

You only need to appear in 10 games to become eligible. He played the OF a few times early in the season, then with this road trip to NL parks he has been starting in the OF 2 out of every 3 games.

sbr has him, you've been trying to get Philips from him all season.

I'm afraid to attempt a trade with sbr. He knows way more about fantasy sports than I do and I just know I'd get screwed. :P
