I was watching the Braves/Brewers game. When Jason Heyward was standing at 1st base, Fielder looked like a fat midget, no joke.
The Mariners needed a left handed bat, in that respect the Griffey signing wasn't a bad signing. The fact that he has been their best option at DH is a problem, but you can't really blame Griffey for that.
EDIT: I just noticed you mentioned Bradley too. That signing was a little iffy, but I don't think there was much risk to the signing if he didn't work out.
I don't blame Griffey for anything. I just don't think it was a good move by the Mariners. As for Bradley, that's more of a personal preference for me. I don't like off the field issues, especially on teams that aren't really good.
Well they traded for Bradley, who is a good offensive player when he wants to be. Back in 2008 he was spectacular, and I don't think it was that bad of them to make the trade. Gotta take a gamble when you don't have the budget of the Yankees Red Sox or Tigers.
That's very true, but personally, I'd rather gamble with young players. They're much cheaper.
