I've had that problem twice this season with Oswalt and Lincecum playing each other. Last game I think was 2-1 Giants.


I heard about him on baseball tonight last week or weekend, they just called him up not too long ago.

If anyone wants a package of Pettite and one of the outfielders I have on the trading block (Ludwick and Rasmus) I'm open to offers. I need a good hitter (homers, average/on base, or stolen bases, pick one or more please :hehe:).

I had an awful day yesterday for my pitchers. Lincecum was bad, Pettite was bad, Peavy was bad, Oswalt wasn't awful, but wasn't great. At least Oswalt and Peavy got their 8 strikeouts each. <_<

And in depressing news for me, I just heard about Oswalt requesting to be traded. Can't blame him, but it's sad seeing one of the only players that makes the Astros worth watching is on his way out. This is all assuming the Astros decide to honor his request, which they better or I'm done with this team. They won't be winning in the near future, at least give this player that's given so much to the team a chance to win. I just hope they don't trade him to some team I hate like the Red Sox or Yankees. <_<

Yeah, if they don't trade him then that's a pretty crappy move by them. And even if he requests an NL team (even an NL Central team) I hope they give it the okay. He's been great for them his entire career and he's never gotten in trouble (as far as I'm aware of) and it's not like they're playing for anything anyway.

There is no way in hell sbr would trade Utley in fact I would be willing to bet all my worldly possessions on it.

Alright, one down, I'm really looking for the top two on that list.

I hope they do trade him, as long as they get a good package in return. Ff they get an offer from a team he will go to, but a better offer from a team he refuses to go to then I think it'd be in their best interest to keep him.

EDIT: I also think there might be some locker room issues in play here. Oswalt has been pretty upset with his lack of run support and he's been talking about it. I know Berkman wasn't too happy with his comments (although I question his and Carlos Lee's desire to win these days). I understand where Oswalt's coming from, but Berkman's right to be a little ticked too. I mean you look at some of Oswalt's starts, two against Lincecum, one against Jhymanz, and one against Halladay. Can you really be surprised that a poor offense isn't getting him run support against the best pitchers in all of the MLB?

Also, I have a few 2nd base eligible players too sivartus. Kelly Johnson, Ty Wigginton, Juan Uribe, and Casey Mcgehee all play 2nd and are all pretty good for me. Only thing is I'm looking for offense too, so it might be hard to work out a trade

Yeah I don't like it. Moyer's had a good start, but last year he got pushed out of the rotation for a bit and I don't trust old pitchers to be able to pitch effectively the whole season. I don't want Gutierrez at all either. Ordenez is playing well too, but he's not enough for me to give up both Pettite and Strasburg.

Ehh Braden doesn't really excel at anything. Not a whole lot of strikeouts, decent ERA. He has great WHIP, but I usually do well enough in that anyways.

Plus I'd be more inclined to pick up a pitcher off waivers/free agency if I moved one I use. Could I convince you to give up Hamilton?

Hm I think I might just take it.Since I picked up Swisher ,who is playing equal to either player basically I am not giving up a ton.
