TES V Ideas and Suggestions # 141

More and better dialogue please. I'm sure there will be full voice acting, so use that hard-earned money and get more voice.

Character movements in Fallout 3 is also very stiff, and when NPCs walk and run, they strangely vibrate. Gotta fix that too.

Yes, animation needs huge upgrade. A claymore and a warhammer shouldnt be swinging or even held the same way.

And a male orc and female bosmer shouldnt walk and run the same. Definitely agree with weapons not being held the same (why would someone hold and use a dagger the same way as a longsword?)

I noticed once when I put a pile of gems in a bowl (in Oblivion) that they kinda act like atoms, they vibrate around each other never finding a still point.

Except it's a crashed mission from Earth and you get a pistol or something, (solar powered please, hated running out of ammo for the alien blaster in FO3)

How about the Eye of Mehrunes Dagon (he's dead now) which opens portals to a plane of oblivion where you can find another set of portals back to various areas throughout the game. And it is found just lying on the ground somewhere under a tree.

I thought of an Idea for the MQ. In the MQ I'm going to guess it's going to be some war (The lore sets it up like that) so I thought of three different methods to handle the MQ, but you can only take on path.

1. Fight for the Province like it's a real war, fight through battle after battle and take cities, towns and villages
2. Infiltrating the opposing faction and sabotaging their whole plan by killing important members and framing other people, this is something for assassins and thieves, the killing part could be optional
3. Be a diplomat and get towns, cities and villages to join your faction, this can also be done with guilds

These methods should be implemented by choice and how your character is made, it would be role-playing friendly if it is done properly

Yeah, about that army invasion......Im just soo tired of every fantasy game/movie, endin in a giant war. I rather some uniqe well-created bosses you have to fight, than having to fight through a giant army. It gets so repetetive that it makes me sick.

He's a Daedra, and Daedra don't die. He simply got banished back into his plane of Oblivion.

Or you were joking back there... Heh.

I don't know, it's hard to think of an easter egg thing to put into the game when you have almost 20 things like that as rewards for helping daedra. Maybe you find Herbert/Harold/Bob from FO3 living somewhere and he tells you he's been there for thousands of years, the lands of Tamriel and all the races evolved from the irradiated creatures of the time and Spriggans are his 'special' offspring.

I'd still like to see a lot of diseases which have phyisical effects, Mad Cow disease, Swine Flu, Chicken Pox, Bird Flu, Bee Mites, Minotaur-ization, etc. And some which have beneficial effects too, Mad Scientist disease, (Corprus was a good example to some extent, raised strength every day you had it), Wood Heart to raise endurance, etc, and of course the beneficial effects come with some not so nice things...

If that happens then I and probably others will give up on TES

Back on the easter eggs, M'aiq again if Khajiits can live for more then 200 years.

Agreed. I'd like to see animation that makes a person look "lighter" or "heavier" - Fargoth running with a quill pen would look slightly different than an Orc in heavy armor wielding a warhammer, and running.

I want Fast travel and the quest compass to stay, I don't mind finding clues to where I'm actually going but I want to know where I have to go.
I have given up on playing Morrowind because there is no direction at all, for example:
I found a Nord with no clothes on outside a city (Can't remember which) I was wondering where his clothes went and spoke to him, he told me a Witch took them but he could not fight her because he was defenceless and needed help, I agreed and asked him where the witch was, he said North of our current position. There isn't a compass in Morrowind to tell me which way is North let alone a compass that tell me where to go! I then looked at my map and thought that up would have just been north so I started travelling that way with my Nord friend following me. In the end I couldn't find the witch and the Nord got lost somewhere :(

That's why there should be a quest compass or at least a compass

Something's not quite right in your story. First, there's a compass in the game (Seen the mini-map? North is up, the direction the arrow is pointing to is your current view direction). Second, the witch Sosia Caristania (or something like that) is north-west of his location, which he says as such, not north. Which, guess what, she is.

A compass is fine, a quest arrow on said compass? Forget it. People like you are why they're taking such great games like Daggerfall, and Morrowind and dumbing them down to the point where a seven year old can walk through it without challenge. This generation of youth can't stand to go without instant gratification!

Dude, let's not get into trolling. This is the second thread in which you've said statements that could be provocative. Let's do some actual suggesting and less provoking, K? :)

OK, I say that magical graphics should be revamped to start off. Honestly, fire and ice look like color-swapped versions of each other with different sound effects until they hit someone. It'd be cool if instead of a strange blob of white-ish gas, you could also shoot shards of ice, or flaming hot tar, or electrified rods of metal, out of your hands, AS WELL as the disembodied magic blobs, using magic. It'd make each magic type more unique and powerful.

More schools of magic. Well just split up conjuration.

Conjuration should be daedra.
Necromancy should be undead.

On topic about the whole quest-marker, compass etc. I think that what we need is not to take away the quest-marker, but to add more stuff (bear with me!)

I say we make the quest-compass optional, easy to toggle on and off from the esc menu (or whatever it's called) then we have that whole problem with the compass...this means that for all compass users, the game should supply sufficient information for your task, no more mystical diaries that know everything (should be toggled too)

For the compass, a map and compass are essentials, they have to be in, however knowing the locations of the major cities right after you get out of prison is not acceptable, especially when the only way to get to them is by road, yet none of the road landmarks are discovered (spooky!)

There should be map-marking capabilities as well, and i'm talking more than one blue dot. You should be able to make MULTIPLE notes on your map for anything, whether it's something like 'suspected location of quest' to make it easier to get to with your compass, or something as simple as 'n00bz in cave with el1te l00t'.

Basically i think this fixes most of the problems encountered by players.

SIDE NOTE:

To the guy who complained about the whole not exactly north direction, when in real-life has a guy given you direct directions to a place which you could get to in a bee-line, most people would say no, morrowind is supposed to be as real to life as can be for a game.
