also leave the quest system alone people should not be forced to do someting fast or anyting this is a RPG no a life simulator.

The best RPG of the series has deadlines on most quests. That's a part of what makes it the best. The more realistic, the more immersive, the more meaningful roleplaying.

Deadlines are good for a game the size of Daggerfall, but when were're talking Morrowind or Oblivion, deadlines are hollow. The overwhelming size of dagger gave emediacy to quests with deadlines, but when the mark is practically over the ridge, and the monsters on the way level with me, deadlines are absolutely, shamelessly hollow.

The best in the series by who's decree? Having time restraints on quests sounds like it'd do more harm than good. I enjoy being able to pick up four or five side-quests, and then take a quick look in my journal to see which one I prefer. Sure, perhaps it'd make it more realistic, but as has been said countless times before; games aren't for realism, they're to escape it. The feature would only end up causing undue stress, it wouldn't add anything actually fun to the game.

Just want to point out that muskets can easily pierce plate, this is why there is no plate armor anymore. But I agree Ayuyu, that discussion leads to bad things.

How's that different to Morrowind and Oblivion?

I personally want to make mods for TES 5. Plus oblivion didn't come with a CS you have to download it.

  • Often in Fallout 3, the voice-acting in dialogue would delay at least a second when you chose a response, or left conversation, etc. This should get fixed.
  • Make collision detection of objects more precise. It's a bit annoying when you pick up an object off a table and all other objects float up.

If a quest doesn't have a time requirement, it should never be in a TES game. Not worth a damn.

Everyone. Which is why we don't want guns. Every peasant with a gun could kill the greatest mage or knight with one easy shot. That's why we don't want guns.

Now, I don't quite agree with that. Not ALL quests can be timed because not all demands can be met realistically in a time limit. Investigations, pilgrimages, quests for artifacts (although it depends on who is looking for what), etc can not be expected to do things within time limits because of their nature.

Bioshock 2 has given me many things to talk about. I'll leave most of those for later, but I'd like to mention spell combinations. In Bioshock, things all had their purposes and uses. Shock could do tons of damage to enemies in water, for example. Fire could light oil. I'd like to see things like that in TES V.

I think time scale needs to slow down a bit. In Ob, we have a default time scale of 30. Whole day goes off in less than an hour. I'm thinking around 12~18. I'd also like to see some stores with different open hours. The rigid business time is somewhat inconvinient.

Yep, I think we need waaaaaaaaaaaaay more distance between the quest giver and the quest objective.
And without everyone's favorite happy-go-lucky handy-dandy compass, it would actually be challenging.
Oh no, a challenge! We really don't want that! :shakehead:

Yes challenge is good but no sense sending you on the other side of the world on a small job. It all has to make sense. If it doesn't, I wouldn't make it that way.

If I may point something out about this post, Honor-Australia did not even mention guns as an option.

I do not want respawning treasure in dungeons, what's the point of exploring a dungeon if you can just go back later and get what you've sold or lost. When I explore a dungeon I search every corner because I don't want to come back again.

Hostage situations, get as far away from the scene of the crime as possible. Stolen goods, same thing. There's probably a few more things justifying moving to the other side of the world.
