TES V Ideas and Suggestions #166

So, I'm building my own world in the CS, blah blah blah, forest, blah blah blah, port city.

I used console commands to make my character's speed, agility, athletics and acrobatics go up so I could get everywhere quickly and effectively, and I noticed something about the game.

For 1 I can't edit AI without the CS crashing, it's a real pain in the ***, I have to make sure it's perfect and exactly how I want it or I'll have to delete all of the AI and start again, and for 2 the aerial power attacks make you run when you're in the air. I wanted to kill the captain of the boat I made by flying out of the water and cutting him with a "Death from Above" but instead I got a running stab animation in the air.

So it got me thinking, "Why not have the correct animations, with a chance of falling?" And I realized that we could easily have the correct animations, and how well you can do power-attacks in the air without falling could be related to your acrobatics skill.

Also, edge-grabbing would be a huge plus, I hate having to build the roof-top walkways the way I do. :swear:

Speaking of consoling up attributes for testing, I'd like to be able to have stupidly high stats again.

In Morrowind, if I have a huge landmass mod, I can set my speed to 5000 to run through everything quickly. If in Oblivion, I have the same, all I can do is set my speed and athletics to 255. Kinda svcks.

EDIT: Something else. Can we simply call TESV, TESV: Skyrim, or whatever. It annoys me when they number games all wrong. GTA: San Andreas is GTA4!!

From a modder's perspective, I love it. As a person who will be tempted to use it for their own personal gain, I'm weary.

I am sure it has been said, but I would like to see Dragons at least 1 or 2 at the bottom of a huge dungeon that can only be accessed or "found" after reaching a certain level or standing.

I would also like to see some other rare type mobs that drop cool stuff or guard cool stuff, a wider variety of monsters also. Like if you go to a cold mountain range, maybe a a beast you could encounter would be a snow monster type creature, not every time, but a rare monster that may occur after certain levels.

Well I'd like to maybe see dragons. As PASSIVE creatures you don't have to kill or get any super awesome reward for.
In fact let me expand that, i DON'T want to constantly run into creatures that are only there to kill me, nor do i want to constantly kill my way through the gameworld.

Honestly one of my old criticism points here is that every time someone mentions "I'd want to see creature X..." it's pretty much ALWAYS completed with ".... so i can KILL IT."

I don't want to see dragons. They're nice elusive creatures that we only hear about in lore books. Perhaps the occasional dragon in human form that I see change once or twice, but I don't want them flying around verywhere.
