TES V Ideas and Suggestions # 175

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 1:00 pm

Hircine, I especially want were creatures in Skyrim because of the environment. Very rugged and wild. Its the kind of place there are very dangerous wild animals. The kind of place that is all around dangerous. Were creatures would add to the atmosphere that I hope Skyrim has.

All provinces are dangerous. I actually don't envision Skyrim as one of the most contsantly rugged and wild places, either. I mean, Black Marsh is by far the worst place for a non native, and Morrowind is just hell right now. Anyway, not really all that important.

So has it been confirmed that TESV will be in Skyrim? People keep on talking about it as if it is gonna happen. I hope it will

It's just highly speculated. Bethesda renewed a trademark on the phrase "Skyrim" not too long ago. Seems as good as any reason for it to be highly speculated.

Meh. It's debatable, really. I'd actually put them at about the same, but I doubt we'll have a game set in Thras (unless you count Summerset), hence, Black Marsh is worse for the setting of werewolves. Imo, anyway.

Point is, anyway, that Skyrim isn't the most inhospitable place in Tamriel.

No idea. It was quite a while ago. I think the trademark is almost at an end, hence why people are expecting something soon. That's why there's all the posts complaining about no news at e3, or whatever. You'll be best to ask in the speculation thread.

If they cut most of that voice dialogue, YAY more features like were-creatures. Voice 1 and 2 BSA files are over a 1.5GB of space making them the biggest in your data folder. And I thought there was a lack a variety amongst the dialogue. Seriously Bethesda that was a BAD idea. make it like NWN where essential characters are voice and the rest is written. Because that is just to much.

So long as there is another TES game, I don't care where it is.

The swamps of Louisiana are probably just as dangerous as Siberia. Im just talking about the wild rocky dangerous atmosphere that comes with high altitudes and polar regions. It seems to me that werewolfs and werebears just seem more where they belong in the North.

Im not sayingthat its a fact that they belong in the north I am just saying they would greatly add to the atmosphere.

NWM? I assume you mean Morrowind, in which case, I completely agree. But, you aren't going to convince everyone. People refuse to believe that the files take up a lot of space, for some reason.

What I'd like to see, though, if they don't want to remove the voices, is multiple discs. But, unfortunatly, companies (not just Bethesda) have an irrational fear of releasing multiple CD's for consoles. And, for some idiotic reason, when things get cut to fit on consoles, they cut it on PC, too.

If you go into the swamps of louisiana do you basically die straight away from disease / crazy lizard men? It's a pretty unneccessary argument, here.

Surely, they'd add to the atmosphere anyway? Of course, looking at my forum name, I want werecreatures in any province we have, with at least two kinds per province. I think we agree, so there really is no point to all of this.

What ever, man! I just want werecreatures! Im giving excuses as to why but honestly I just want to roam mountain tops as a werebear. I personally feel like they would fit better in Skyrim but what ever.

No, you do not die from being in the swamps of Louisiana. On Man vs. Wild the host, Bear Grylls, stayed for a whole week without getting sick or anything. Many people have survived there. It is easier to live in the swamps because you do not need equipment. That is why Skyrim is more dangerous. You can not live on the highest mountain in the world with shorts and a t-shirt.

That is why Skyrim is more dangerous.

I have to strongly disagree. Black Marsh =/= Earth swamps. Diseases are quite literally everywhere. Pretty much any man or mer that goes far into Black Marsh is killed. It's why the Empire can't invade properly. They can only survive on the outskirts.

Anyway, as I said, this is still a stupid argument, since we agree on something, here.

Right, im sorry. Im not up to date on my Black Marsh lore.

If you are right about it being so dangerous and crazy then I am with you on waiting for as long as we can before getting a ES game set in Black Marsh. Needs the best technology for that place.

I meant Neverwinter Nights commonly abreviated as NWN. It did have a dialogue system similar to morrowinds with a few minor differences. People better start beleiving that sound files take up a lot of space, or I'll have to smack them. There are LOADS of great new games that get by with minimal voiced dialogue, TES 5 won't be any less of a game. COME ON PEOPLE THINK THESE THINGS THROUGH, oblivions voice acting was terrible anyways. Every elf sounded the same, orcs and nords sound the same, khajiit and argonians sounded the same. With the choice of bad or not at all, I'll go with not at all.

Only when it malfunctions... :unsure2:

EDIT: Oh, yeah, two more things.
1: Over 200 post cap
2: An idea. I remembered watching this guy jump a ramp on his car and some person said he could control his adrenaline or something to make everything go into slow motion. So, an adrenaline bar would be cool. Perhaps when it fills up from combat everything goes into slow mo. Redguard's Adrenaline Rush ability could have something to do with this.
