TES V Ideas and Suggestions # 177

Or if they feel threatened.

They'd have to really show it, though. A wolf would back up and growl, etc.

Yes, but options that are more meaningful than:
-Help the old lady for free cause you are a goody two shoes for some reason
-Kick her into the gutter cause you're a big meanie for some reason

In The Witcher, Mass Effects, and Dragon Age I really stopped to think my brains out when I was presented an option. What would I do in that situation, what would the character do, what would be the instant consequences and what are the odds that I regret this later on. Who I decide to trust in, which is the lesser evil here... Those kinda question I wanna ask myself when playing...

And when talking about choices and consequences, they should be fully uncovered only later on, so quickloading through all the choices and then picking the best one would be impossible. Make a choice, then live with it. Replay the game, think if you want to try something differently.

Well, I was talking along the lines of being able to roleplay more easily, other than making decisions. But they usually leave that stuff up to the modders anyhow, besides making homes.

M'aiq does not approve of your ignorance.

Personally, I love the way Khajiit talk.

In Oblivion, some people have dogs and they do react to your presence, if I remember correctly.

Rohssan's dog attacks you if you sneak into her room.

It does actually. At least thats what it does before it attacks.

If they're in "combat mode" then they back-up and put their ears down and stuff. All they'd need to do is make some animals go into "alerted mode" and back away without them attacking you.

There still should be the odd hostile creature that will attack you on sight though, I think

When they are diseased or hungry or when you approach them at a very small distance (then they feel threatened). Not just for the heck of it.

No, they shouldn't leave things unfinished. They should create interesting and creative lore that the modders could use to fill any game world's holes.
They leave a ton of things unfinished in every TES game. The difference for Oblivion was that they just removed all the stuff they didn't finish, like a political guild, seasonal holidays, and so on.

Oh yeah, definitely. Rabid animals, aggressive animals, and other things.

Not all animals are afraid of people. There have been certain Bears, Lions, Tigers, Sharks, Alligators, Wolves, etc. Have been known to actually hunt people down.

It does not matter what we think. They make the rules so our opinions on their actions is not their buisness.

Personally, I like all of the moderators.

If everybody made a thread about things that just popped into their mind while ignoring old ones we'd have hundreds of new threads daily with 1 or 2 posts. Anyway, they make the rules, and by using the forums you have to follow them. It's the way the world's been working for a long time.

It's spelled "poll".... and "subject"... and "different"... and "discussion"... and "similar".

Don't mind me, I'm a living spell-check... and a grammar check.

Here

I know that, but what if it's on the same subject but also different? Mine was a poll, and the other was discussion. Another one of mine was a poll where you could post ideas. The poll was similar, but you could not post ideas and only could go with what was there.

Anyway, anybody else planning to mod some of the awesome ideas from here if they don't get implemented into TES:V? (The only thing I don't know how to do is animate. :ahhh: I'm gonna have to learn.)

Those are the rules, buddy. You gotta play by them. Besides, the moderators aren't that bad. They don't go around locking random people's threads for no reason.

Anyway, on topic. I would like to see the enviroment play into the game, especially if it's in Skyrim. Blizzards that make it next to impossible to travel sometimes. Hypothermia if you hang out in the snow for too long with no protection or fire. It'd be pretty cool, I think.

I think most of the ideas here if they were implemented it would get game of the decade. I would like to know how to mod because if I did I would mod for the new game big time.

I think this is where you're supposed to go... It can get confusing at some points, but just roll with it and practice and you should get the hang of it. Tesnexus is where you should go to share your mods and download other's.

That's for the Oblivion Construction Set.

I'm guessing the Fallout 3 Engine will be the closest to the new game though, so sometimes I go in there and just tinker around.

Not only that, but the Moderators prevent these Forums from falling into a state of Pandemonium.

I'll probably have to learn. In terms of sheer word density I wouldn't be surprised if I've suggested more than any other one person. No doubt the image in my head will spoil whatever the actual game turns out to be for me.

Pre-Release I'm going to imagine it the worst as possible and convince myself it will look and sound like a 1990 game, or make the most pessimistic and cynical remarks about the trailers so that I won't be expecting much.
(by the way, that's never gonna happen, I'm too excitable)

But, I've restrained from picturing anything in my mind about the game. And you've had some really amazing and brilliant ideas/systems though, I'd love to see what you'd mod. :D
