I'm confused as to how the type of ore used in making a weapon effects damage. Why should an ebony dagger do as much as an iron one? Are both not really sharp? Maybe they could have different effects to justify as to why they're more powerful. Daedric and Silver might have the highest enchanting capabilities, but rusty iron might harbor some diseases (Tetanus would be a good one). P.S. Better diseases in general. You got a small stat reduction, so what? You can just get it healed later. If anything, some would be near impossible to get rid of as they are very resistant to a certain magic, while others might be more deadly. Some may just be nuisance diseases. It would be cool if your character actually looked sick, too.

Not sure if it was mentioned, but I think a decent way to bridge the game vs. world immersion battle would be to introduce a "hardcoe Mode" as New Vegas has. Simple character effects such as hunger and whatnot, not overly complicated, but something that would really add to the immersion.

How about customizable colors from within the game? Many games allow weapon, armor, car, and any other object you can imagine to be customized. It would also allow much more control over character uniqueness as well as a huge help for PC modders to do simple retexes on their own, through the Construction Set itself.

Also, when are we going to get a mountable Cthulu?

varied terrain.

spears.

be able to go prone.

grappling hook.

enter castles via upper windows.

climbing skill.

non-levelled enemies.

hand placed loot.

a throat slit tecnique.

headshots with the bow.

cliffracers.. they would totally work with next gen animation ie LOTR nazgul.

tonnes more books and lore.

more lively taverns, be able to gamble, play cards etc..

horse races.

be able to take guild members out on quests. Taking a group of fighters with you to slay a cave of trolls = win.

be able to make camp fires and set up a tent.

non respawnable containers, I really want to just set up home in a small shack I find out in the wild.

small rowboats we can actually use.

Make your clothes soaking wet if you jump in water...

seasons.. winter, summer etc..

ability to change appearance midway through the game.. add scars, grow older, change hairstyle etc..

a more brooding, dreary soundtrack when its nighttime.

strong gale force winds on the top of hills.

more natural, none violent wildlife. Birds, rabbits, snakes, insects etc..

more natural fast travel methods ie wagon/carriage, boat.. have an option to travel in real time.. like just chill on a boat while you sail to your destination.

a thieves hideout in each town.

a temple guild. Holy warrior FTW.

more variety of caves/dungeons.. more unique lore based locations.

guards saying HALT!

How about varying level's of plant growth, you pick something it will slowly grow back, at different stages the effects are varied. I think this would give a huge amount to Alchemy and a sense of seasons to the game, you could even have some plants that only bloom at night or day.

I would like to see the npc have more of an interaction on the world TES. Such as having traveling merchants, Fisher men out at river or sea, Guilds men out on the road probably even traveling in packs, a larger population within the cities, and wider buildings (so there's more stuff to steal D=) such as taverns, inns, stores, blacksmiths (probably even an outdoor blacksmith), and so on. Also giving the npc more of a script then just going to one destination to the other, like giving them behaviors depending on the day or possibly event. I would also like to see more npcs that aren't going to attack you to be outside of cities such as gypsy?, more hunters, more bandits that try to rob then to kill you, gathers, larger campsites with people in them(possibly some rare goods as well, and treasure hunters that aren't dead.

I've always wondered why TES hasn't implemented headshots with bows. In Oblivion, you can shoot a bandit in the face 9 times with your bow, he'll have all those arrows sticking out of his face like Hellraiser or something, I mean come on games have had headshot tech for decades. It's not hard. Just make it so if an arrow hits you in the face, you'll 99% die. Just like in real life. Do these people not have brains in Tamriel? Are brains not vital organs in Tamriel, and when I scramble said brains with 9 arrows to the cranium, does it not hurt? Things like that just ruin immersion for me.

Dark Messiah had a pretty good system of handling locational damage on people, and it was easily done by aiming your crosshair higher or lower, left or right to hit the person where you need to.. You could disarm them by striking at their hands, or cripple their walk if you hit their leg. Maybe they should look into a system like that.

Being arrowed in the face by overzealous players happens so often in Tamriel that people just plan for it and cast preventative spells on their children at a young age, with "booster" spells being cast every couple years or so. Whereas you or I get inoculated for measles and rubella, Tamrielans get inoculated for Arrow-in-the-Face and Astral Vapors.

I'm not sure if that was meant purely for the laughs or also included a hidden statement about ever using such mechanics but both ways it's extremely discouraging to get a ridiculing answer from a game developer on something that's a valid point.

I agree with this guy, although I'm grateful that somebody from the company is actually going to the community for feedback.

ya not to mention the awesome (but few) spell ideas, and the amazing vertical environment designs.

telekinesis was by far the most amazing magical ability I have seen in a while. it rocked

hope u guys take more of the "good" ideas from other games and implement them into ES 5 as well, diablo 2 and 1 had such limited quests and areas and yet it had tons of replayability because of the interesting skills/abilities the "heroes" had, not to mention the items and mass monster attacks. But I'm sure u did, cause I played fallout 3 and it was a ton of improvement over oblivion (which was still pretty good at its time of release)

and guys he was joking I mean really, if u had costumers in ur shop would u shoo them away with ridicule :P

One thing I hope they do in TES:V is give us more Bows to choose from. In Oblivion the lack of good bows end game was really annoying. You see artifact maces, swords, axes, even shields, but no bows.
Not a single unique bow. It's either Daedric/ebony/elven/etc, or the madness/amber. That's boring. I want more variety in bows. I want a big epic bow that's hard to get that's the "best" in the game, and have it extremely hard to get, but also make it worth while, like they do with almost every other type of weapon.

I think it'd be cool if they had different kinds of bows besides what they are made of. Like short bows, long bows, recurve bows, etc etc etc. oh and ofc CROSSbows :D

They've got to stop putting tips in the load screens. They send a manual with the game, I never need to be told by the load screens to click the stick to use stealth. I don't need to be told that the attack button is used for attacking. Just get rid of all tips in the load screens.

Axe the moving grass. I would rather have a much finer grass than have a bunch of big, ugly stalks waving around. Look at AC2's grass; it's extremely fine and renders well. I can tell you that I would prefer higher quality shadows over moving grass.

It could be a place to put up local rumors that you hear, instead of the
"Quest Update: No one is next to you but you know the exact location of a Lich"

But I'm mincing the problems.
