It's not a question, but.... THIS: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kp-xX-cioQ

This is a question, though it is more of a personal desire than a request: Will we see Khajiits with imperial slaves working their moon sugar fields?
the real question is.... will we get to see the plants that they get moon sugar from?

the empire banned slavery except for in morrowind (part of the agreements for "peace").
why would an imperial run province allow imperial slaves to work in the drug business? sure, maybe illegally.

but why the butthurt at imperials? it's Dunmer that enslaved them?

and "maybe"?

I think Ryu knew that I was joking around. When it comes to Khajiits, jokes are all I have to offer.

No disrespect for this project - it will be amazing. And amazingly so, since I spend more time either wanting to pet and name (and hug and squeeze) khajiits or just kill them, I would not be able to successfully create such a province myself. Is it a kitten, or is it a breakfast cereal mascot? I... I don't know! I DONT KNOW!! *shakes her head and cries*

I give respect to anyone who can give respect to Khajiit. After all, Khajiit has no time for you. And yet, they still build a province for khajiit. It does not understand.

I would be very tempted to turn the province into a land of cats that do nothing but run around meowing and playing with leaves and looking adorable.

In fact, I think I'm going to do exactly that. I'm going to build myself an island full of cute little kitties that I have to save from Mehrunes Dagon. That big red jerk.

Check out "Mudcrab Island" - there's an adorable cat in the house called "Dagoth Purr." Priceless.

I will send you a youtube video, Tonal. Don't want to derail this topic too far

Back to what was being discussed previously. I personally don't think it would be very lore friendly to travel to elsweyr on a silt strider. They are supposedly few in number.

I think a logical way to get there would be the mages guild idea. Add a single NPC in one of the major guild houses who offers transport to members.
Transport for non mages guild members would likely be a ship or carriage. Ship would probably only be from a major city in Morrowind.

Something I think could make long journeys between provinces quite interesting is a system like they had in Arena or Daggerfall. Obviously in vanilla Morrowind the game calculates the distance and changes the time accordingly when you arrive at your destination. Instead you could have some fast travel options that allow you to choose the speed, mode of transport, and how to spend the nights during travel. So say if you chose to stay overnight at Inn's, it would cost you 5 gold per night, but youd be less likely to be attacked during the night say if you were to camp out instead. But this is probably something for a serperate mod.... meh

i've heard about a small mod that's been worked on (can't remember who by) that chooses the province you start on/mainland of Morrowind, so once there's more provinces there will be that too.
Indeed. The plugin lets a player choose where to start when starting a new game. Prompting that regions chargen to start. Also, if the player then wanted to travel to morrowind to do the main quest there it would still be possible.

I for one am looking forward to see what you guys come up with. Seen alot of brainstoriming on your forums, however not alot of content. I'm actually a semi contributing member, even though I like to wind up Hyabusa

I do hate Khajiits though...

@gortwog: well, we only got started in late February as you know. Not much can be done 'till our first section of the heightmap is ready. Should be soon? And I already said the only way to Elsweyr from Vvardenfell would be mages IF we even touch vanilla Morrowind. Which we don't want to. But we will if people want to complain that it would take too long. Which it would...

@Tes96: um...lore and stuff...the same as any other province mod. If you mean each little feature, that is made as best as can be while pertaining to lore.

INFO: Y'know the boring desert dunes you see and hope that isn't in Elsweyr? They are only to be a small area a bit bigger than the Grazelands. For Dune. The rest is more...lively. In a sense. :P

travel could be by mages guild or a smuggler boat. Getting there isn't important right now. right now we need to build there.

Exactly. When travel is needed, we will have definite answers.

A teleporting crate on a smuggler ship. Clearly, smuggling yourself to Elsweyr in a crate is a wise idea. :P

Mage travel because it takes too long? Pfft . I'm so gonna walk from Port Telvannis to Dagon Fel, to Windhelm, Whiterun and Bruma, continuing south to the Imperial City and proceed to Bravil, Rimmen, Corinth and at last to Senchal.

Another question that hasn't been asked but now has an answer: The size of Senchal. It is set to be around 15-20 cells. I know what you are thinking. "That will kill my PC." Well...maybe. We are pretty tired of the little dinky villages that are called "cities". And lore states that Senchal takes up the eastern tip of the peninsula. Well, that is the eastern tip. Hopefully no one who will play this has an older PC that can barely run MGE with a texture mod and a view distance in single digits. Cheers!

15-20 cells? For reference, how's that compare to say, Vivec City?

i wouldn't compare it to vivec, that's just a bunch huge buildings with a few interiors.

it's atleast 3-8.5 balmoras.

MGE doesn't work on my computer, something to do with "Shading".

A bunch of huge buildings that take up a very large amount of space, hence my using them as an example.

it's atleast 3-18.5 balmoras.

What? You mean it's between 3 and 18 times the size of Balmora? That's a pretty big range there.

It's quite literally Vivec times about 1.5-2. I am making a CS concept of it now. Note that the architecture shown in the concept when finished will likely not exist in Senchal.

Edit: Messed up my calculations. And increase the maximum cells for Senchal to 24. So it's about 15-24 cells. Gotta count the harbor.

Twice Vivec's size? I think my rig can handle that as it is. Especially if it's all the first "map", if you will, includes.
