TES League Baseball

For him he got screwed. Didn't draft a full pitching staff, drafted a few position players that started off on the DL or went on the DL (though anyone could struggle with that).

EDIT: From looking at the scoreboard, 3 teams would have beaten me in runs, 4 would have beaten me in HR, 2 in RBI, 1 in SB, 1 in batting average, 3 in OBP, nearly everyone in Ks, nobody in wins, all but 1 in saves, 3 in holds, 5 in ERA, and nobody in WHIP. My confidence just went waaay down. :(

None of it really matters though. You knocked me to seventh place, and I'm not 8.5 games back. You now have the best record in the league, and have about a 5-6 game lead on the guys right behind you.

My main bit is is recovering from guys being on the DL to start. I'll stick with it and hopefully get better.

Any helpful advice for picking pitchers throughout the week?

I was thinking about this the other day, has anyone done a fantasy league where the goal was to make the absolute worse team possible? I think it could be kind of fun. :P

Well you'd have to have rules, like your players have to be starters and player a certain number of games/innings in a week, barring injuries.

The only tip I have is for religious men: Pray.

There's a good bit on anolysis on ESPN's fantasy page, but for a single start (taking into account the type of pitchers available), it is Russian Roulette.

I thought that's what we were doing. :)

Definitely, if you can "beat" me this week without winning a category, you'll be so far ahead...

I literally just laughed at my ERA. I'm done with Beckett.

Pitchers can be hell.A week ago someone from ESPN TV said to sit Ben Sheets at all cost.I said no he is a star and he will shine. So I keep him in and he pitches like 8 shut out innings and I feel like a genius.

I saw earlier on ESPN's little bottom ticker that Beckett is awful against or at Toronto, I forget which. Has something like a 8+ERA against them for his career.

Yeah, you're right. It's not like he's been stellar for me in any of his other games though.

So I'm watching the Rangers game right now, do they really play that cheesy heroic music every time they hit a homer?

That happens to be the theme from "The Natural", one of the greatest baseball movies ever. And yes, they do, and it's AWESOME!!!!!! It's even better when you get to take it in at the Ballpark.

I think it sounds really cheesy. Then again at Astros games they have a big train with giant fake oranges, so I don't have much room to talk. :P

Thadeus, I sent you a trade offer. Couldn't believe you had Hanley on the market.

Haha yeah, I did that this morning. Then he goes yard tonight. Maybe he knew? Ha.

By the way, I accepted.

Also, Miller, I've sent you an offer.

Sweet, thanks. I'm happy with my team but I couldn't pass on Hanley. I have some other outfielders to use. None as good as Crawford, but my infield is kinda weak.
