He said 9 Central here but had it set wrong on the site. I am not too upset, the draft order was sent and I was 7th; hopefully it changes when it restarts.

Yeah I was just going off of what the site said, I hadn't checked here. How do you check the draft order?

The "draft room" opened an hour before the draft and it had the order there. The new one should open in 20 minutes.

There will be a new draft order. The old one is long gone. Again, I apologize about the confusion. I promise I'm going to learn how to tell time.

No like I said it is fine with me I was 7th; I don't know about the unnamed people who had the top 2 picks though. *whistles innocently*

How do you add smilies with this new forum software?

I'm not sure how I did in the draft, but I think I did OK. My offense will hit HRs and steal bases but I didn't take OBP into account as much as I should have.

My pitching staff has some huge risk/huge reward guys (Santana, Matsuzaka, Sanchez).

Yeah I'm not too optimistic about my pitching staff to be honest. Most of my starters are risks.

Well, I got around what I wanted to in all the categories. I came up a bit short in the offensive categories, but I think ESPN's projections for Heyward are low. I got plenty of big strikeout guys.

Oh, this is probably a little late to tell y'all, but I ran the numbers from last year, and overall ERA isn't correlated to winning in the category, and WHIP is just barely correlated. Cool, huh?

Couple of Questions:

1. Are we doing OBP or OPS? 'Cause I thought we were doing OPS, but OBP was listed in the draft and I think sbr is under the impression we're doing OBP...

2. How many games does it take for a player to game eligibility at a position? I can't find that listed.

Can't believe I missed the draft, sorry guys, something came up.

Still, I got a decent team I think, I'll have to look more in depth later because I haven't followed anyone in baseball other than the Braves in years.

Thadeus confirmed during the draft that it is OBP; he mentioned OPS once or twice but changed his mind.

I can't find it either. In Yahoo! it used to be appearing in 10 games or starting 5 at a position, FWIW.

I have a question I just found as well. I found this:

Games Played Limits (Maximums)
Batters
No Limit
Pitchers
12 GS

What does 12 GS mean, hopefully it isn't Games Started as most starters start 30-35 games in a season.

Okay... That's a pisser since I drafted based on OPS. I do kinda feel svcker punched because I feel like I've asked about OPS like 5 times and been told we're using it until a day after the draft.

As for GS, I think that refers to Games Started per week.

ACK! I'm so sorry I missed the draft everyone. Sorry that I let y'all down. But don't count me out! I have high hopes this year for the Mead Drinkers.

I'm pretty happy with my pitching, but I think my offense is a little weak. According to ESPN, I have the #1 Ranked starting pitcher, and #1 reliever. Not too bad. I just want the season to start already.

Just edited my Trading Block. If anyone has an offer send it my way. I'm mostly in need of an OF or a solid C.

Berkman's starting the season on the DL, so there goes my starting firstbaseman. Good thing I drafted Chris Davis too, eh?

Yeah. Davis will get you a lot of homers, but isn't he a free swinger (high strikeouts and low on-base percentage)?

Yeah, big time. I also have Dan Uggla at 2nd base, so I didn't really want to use both at the same time.

Would you be willing to give up Uggla? I'd be willing to give you both Adam Laroche and Alcides Escobar (a young up and coming star). Or switch out one of those players for Stephen Drew. I'd do that as well.

You'd be losing a bit from the HR department, but you'd be getting better averages and on-base percentages.
