Well, for the people that didn't really play last year in the second half (Cliffracers and Pale Hose), I'd replace them as soon as we have a taker.

For the others that had activity who we haven't heard from (Drinkers and FTW), perhaps we could send a reminder to 'em.

Also, would we want to expand the league this year, if we had the people?

I wouldn't be opposed to expanding a bit, but I think more than 14 teams would be a stretch unless we reduce the number of players on each squad. 14 teams might even be to many with 13 position players per team.

Also what about adding another DL slot (or two)?

Do I have to be invited to the league or am I missing a 'join' button somewhere?

If we get more than 12, I'd rather see having people wait in reserve (cut owners that are inactive for a month) or joint owners.

As for the DL, Thadeus has already added one (so we have 2 now). I think two spots are fine. I want it be a tough decision to keep players that have long term injuries, but I won't stand in the way of increasing it to 3.

EDIT:

You'll need an invite from our beloved commish.

Is there something like this for basketball? A TES basketball fantasy team would be pretty cool.

I'm not sure 3.5 games is "far ahead."

Drinkers will be back, I've already spoken to him.

Stargazey, you've got a spot waiting. If I don't hear anything out of Pale Hose, you can have his spot. If not, I'll expand to 14 and one of those spots will be yours.

Invites have been sent to Gstaff and Sivartus, as they had spots already reserved. Stargazey, I haven't forgotten about you. There will be a spot for you, so don't worry.

I'm excited as well. I'm in a mock draft right now, and it's making me even more anxious for baseball season.

Bahhh! This year we turn it around. And I'm serious. We're looking legit. Question marks surround the starting rotation, but we have good names.

And by legit I mean at least a few games over .500 and a chance at making the playoffs as a wildcard.

Actually there's really only 3 or 4 Astros players I'd actually want...

I was wondering about that; team loyalty is good and all, but this is serious business.

Maybe even more than 3-4 players, their roster is a little better than I expected. Great outfield, Berkman is always great, they have have some other infielders that would be useful in a league this big. A couple of good pitchers and a couple guys with some upside.

So, when are we talking about having the draft? Mid-March? We'd have a better idea of who was actually going to be playing then.

Alright, I know it's been a couple of days since we've had any real discussion. I've been waiting on confirmation from GStaff and Sivartus that they've received their invites. Spring training is starting up over the next few days, so I expect there will be a lot to talk about soon. I'm also looking to hold the draft sometime in mid-March or so. Possibly the next to last week of the month. So, there's a bit of an update on the proceedings.

I just noticed that you got rid of batting average as a category. Was that intentional, or did it get misplaced somewhere? :P
