Alright, I know it's been a couple of days since we've had any real discussion. I've been waiting on confirmation from GStaff and Sivartus that they've received their invites. Spring training is starting up over the next few days, so I expect there will be a lot to talk about soon. I'm also looking to hold the draft sometime in mid-March or so. Possibly the next to last week of the month. So, there's a bit of an update on the proceedings.

You mean the week of the 22nd? I know for sure that the week of the 15th isn't good for me, that's spring break. ;)

I just noticed that you got rid of batting average as a category. Was that intentional, or did it get misplaced somewhere? :P

Completely unintentional. Thanks for pointing that out. I'll go in and take care of it.

EDIT: It's back on there. However, that makes it uneven. So, what do you guys want to add to the pitching categories?

I'm not sure yet. I'd like to wait to get everyone in before I put too much thought into it. If you're gonna be gone that week though, we can do it before or after.

Can't we just do OPS (OBP+SLG) instead of splitting it up? That way we don't need more pitching categories.

Actually, that works for me. It would also make things a little more interesting I think.

So Thadeus, are you gonna keep screwing up the scoring categories until we all leave the league in disgust?

Now we have OBP and OPS, but no batting average...

Let's calm down. The season is over a month away, and nothing is written in stone. I was playing around with some different combinations to see how things looked. It'll go back to what you've all requested.

I meant that as a joke, sorry if it came out sounding differently.

I figured as much. Sorry if my response seemed defensive. I had a long work week, so I was a little on edge. I seriously need to use some vacation time and take a long break.

Alright, all of the owners are in and the league is filled. All that is left now is to discuss when we want to draft. Opening Day is April 5th, so I'd like to draft about a week or so before then. I'll have my work schedule for the third week in March next week, so I'll have a better idea on what specific days I'm available. I'd like to stay away from the week of the 22nd, since that's generally Spring Break for most everyone. I know it would be hard to get a full draft then. So, either the week before or the week after would be good. Any thoughts?

I'll be gone Thursday-Saturday the week of the 18th, and I'd like to not draft after 8pm CST, but I'll work around that if we have to.

I'm good anytime.

Could you update the first post so we know who's controlling each team? I need to know who to insult each week.

I would prefer a week end time but almost anytime is fine with me.I only ask that it is not earlier than 7pm est on weekdays.Between school and work I won't be available before than.

I am actually really looking forward to this year in baseball for the first time in a while since my M's look like they could take the AL West.

I cried when the M's signed Cliff Lee. Not really, but I was pretty upset. It seemed like they were ready to pounce every time the Rangers made a move.

As far as the draft goes, I'm closing a lot these days, so I won't be getting home until after 10pm CST. I'd like to do it on a weekend, because that's mostly likely our best shot to get everyone together at the same time. I'll be able to give a more definitive answer on my status later this week.

Also, the first page has been updated and all of the teams and owners are on there.

Sorry that I haven't been around much to talk about the formation of the new states or dates. I'm just back to take down Ratwar. He really handed it to me last season, and I don't let that happen again. >:-\

I'm good anytime to draft.

I'm on a business trip next week the 15-18th...would be tough to draft. I might actually get to go to some spring training games in Scottsdale though...research!

I did? I mean, I knew I squashed poor Thadeus like a bug, and crushed sbr's hopes and dreams, but I thought I had a losing record against you...

Any time is good for me.

This weekend would be awesome since it's going to rain and I can't do anything. But it's obviously too late for that. I'm good weekdays from noon EST on.

I fly back to DC Thursday night. Given I'll have been out of the office for four days, I'll probably be busy all day/early evening on Friday. I can always tell the Mrs. I have to stay up late for a draft, and I can just as easily get up early in the morning on a weekend. But really, just let me know and I should be able to make time. It's been a long time since i did fantasy baseball (I picked up Roy Halladay as a rookie in the first week of the season) and I'm looking forward to it.

I don't have a problem with doing it that late. I'll set it up if everyone agrees.
