TES VI Location and Setting -- Official Speculation Thread #

Post » Tue Oct 30, 2012 3:33 am

Bethesda hasn't said anything about the future of the Elder Scrolls series, but one of the most common topics of speculation is where the next game should be set. Rather than trying to keep this in the official suggestion/discussion thread we've decided to give this an official home.

This discussion doesn't need to be tied entirely to geography, other setting details are also appropriate. However let's please keep this focused on the game world and leave other matters, like gameplay mechanics or NPCs, in the other thread.

I hope we get Black Marsh in the next installment. It only makes sense to show us the beast races lands after so many humans and elves lands. A lot of room for creativity in Black Marsh as well, due to its mystical nature and the lack of knowledge about what might await us in the inner land.

I've been thinking, It would be great to go back to High Rock. Personally, I love Bretons and would love to see a modern day interpretation of Daggerfall and the such; however, the setting might be too similar to Skyrim's to allow it to be the province of The Elder Scrolls 6.

I'm hearing things about Black Marsh and Summerset the most.

I think that the possibility of going to Summerset is high only if there is a DLC regarding the Thalmor for Skyrim, which I hope there is. I would love to see another Elven province.

Black Marsh is a bit of a pipe dream to me. What reason would we have to go there?

Personally, I think Hammerfell is a realistic expectation. Personally, I hope it's not though. Three Human Provinces in a row? Blech.... Also, I can only tell that the art style of the armors and such would be more revealing clothes and such, kinda like Skyrim's lack of pants and shirts in their armor sets. I don't like that stuff.

So I really want to see Summerset next though.

I know, which is why I said it would look too similar to Skyrim.
