TES V now or wait and let them spend more time on it?

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 10:31 am

yeah but a little news would help everyone out alot this waiting is just dumb im all for people taking their time but i would like to see some news what do they gain from delaying info for so long? even a hint would be enough for me to be happy with waiting but this total media blackout is just annoying we all know what they are doing just ratify our thoughts already.... so yes im all for waiting to make it perfect if they would just give us some news

Longer time to work on the game. Believe it or not, once games are announced they are pushed a lot harder by their publishers (and fans :P) to get it done soon so the hype won't die, and other reasons too, I'm sure.

It will come when it comes, and hopefully not sooner than it should.

AKA: I'd rather wait a few years more for the best TES game ever than something incomplete. I think Oblivion would have been much better if it had been given, say, a year's more time.

I think they'll throw a nice little suprise at one the game conventions coming up
kinda like microsoft did with the 360 slim
theyll announce it and itll come out a few months later, alot of this has been seen at E3 this year.

There's no way TES V would be released mere months after its announcement.

I don't think they will show it on E3. The only place left for this year is QuakeCon.

It just makes me wonder why it takes certain companies so dam long to get a game together, and others not so much. It doesn't take 6 years to produce a game, just ask Bioware, I guess they have other priorities.

That's because Bioware's fantasy games have very few areas created in-game, with most of your travels spent watching blood splatters across a map to mark your route. Their storylines also consist of hugely coincidental tripe that would get laughed out of the most amateur book publisher's office.

Here's a treaty! Go get the four main powers of Ferelden to honour it. Off you go!

1) Journey to Redcliff. Save inhabitants from coincidentally fatal [censored]-up. = 10 hours of play.
2) Journey to Mage's Tower. Save inhabitants from coincidentally fatal [censored]-up. = 10 hours of play.
3) Journey to Elven Brecilian Forest. Save inhabitants from coincidentally fatal [censored]-up. = 10 hours of play.
4) Journey to Dwarven mountains. Save inhabitants from coincidentally fatal [censored]-up. = 10 hours of play.
5) Fight Darkspawn and save the world... the game's selling point... which turns out to be the smallest part of the game... sigh.

Summary: If your hero hadn't of existed, or had been allowed to refuse joining and leading the Grey Wardens, then by the time the Darkspawn had arrived in Ferelden there would have been nothing left to destroy. Ferelden would have destroyed itself from its own massively coincidental inability to do anything at all.

Just sayin'.

Well at least they give their customers what they want in a timely fashion. Is all I'm saying, hey if they want to bang out a bunch of shooters for the kids, that's their prerogative I guess. I'll cram TES on the shelf next to HL2 episode 3, and just hope someday they decide to give their loyal fans a little good news.

of course they should take as much time as they need! they are "bethesda".they have the midas touch, just look to their past to tell their metal.i could care not how long it takes for the new elder scroll.

what i do care about is their lack of information that they have NOT gave us that all is well and in the works.

and i bloody well hope someone from bethesda does read this. because when e3 came and went with nary a word mentioned about it,and after (i speak for all of us..i think?) the hopes of that second booth was announced for more room was dashed.it was like someone slapped my mum.

i want to be quit clear on this. bethesda is the reason the world turns for me. i have not played a game that was not made by bethesda in over a year. it is true escapism, adventure and imagination at its very finest!!!!...but when the third day was over i realized, that i was not mad i was very ANGRY!

so bethesda please take what you want from father time,i care not....but give us something!!!!!

Not all of us WANT mass-produced tripe though  it takes much longer to craft a living breathing world than to slap a few zones together and pepper them with darkspawn.

Different companies are directing their efforts with different priorities. This is how it should be :)
