A TES tattoo

http://img686.imageshack.us/img686/733/tritattoo.png at making a lineart of the Tribunal fresco. It's still pretty messy, but I did my best to clean it up.

It is indeed from Morrowind. It was a fresco found in temples and tombs. You can pull it from the game disc/bsa, but it still won't be very high res as the game is quite old.

If i got a tattoo to do with the elder scrolls it would have to be something written in the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Tamriel:Daedric_Alphabet

Looks awsome IMO

I already know I'm getting a tattoo of my girlfriend's name across my chest. Oblivion is my favorite, but I still love the others and who knows? Maybe Elder Scrolls V would be much better, so in general I would get a TES tattoo to represent all of the games.

I remember reading somewhere last year about a guy who wanted to get the obliv icon for the Water Breathing spell as a tattoo because he was a big TES fan and a scuba diving instructor, or something similar. That actually seemed like a neat idea.

What about just getting a tattoo of your name (or something that has a deep, significant meaning to you) written in daedric?

I'm not crazy about the whole daedric letters thing. First of all, I'd rather have a symbol than a word tattooed somewhere on me. Second, I really can't stand the idea of a foreign language (a language so foreign that it exists in another universe) that is simply a transliteration of English.

I've been considering getting either that very Moon-And-Star emblem or my Halo 3 emblem on my shoulder for some time now, actually. Still can't decide, lol.

EDIT: Also been thinkin' of getting my screenname (which I use as an alter-ego about everywhere) in Daedric between my shoulder blades, kinda as a tribute to my first RP char ever who's got her name in a similar fashion on her back.

Then perhaps a miniature map of Tamriel, or if you're looking for symbols, then maybe something from one of the lore books?

I have to admit man, that's a very tempting design. I think I might have to take it in with the original (and then do a lot of explaining) for the artist to figure out what's going on there, but I appreciate the work you've put into it.

By the way, out of all the names on this board, yours is the coolest I've seen.

I want my best friend's name tattoo'd in daedric somewhere on my body, and the Moon and Star one.

I would definitely say the Dragon symbol would be best. What I don't understand is why you are all calling this the "Imperial Dragon" when it is in fact the "Akaviri Banner" (http://www.uesp.net/wiki/File:Akaviri_banner.jpg).

You're citing a fan edited wiki. That dragon has been used as a symbol of the Empire since Redguard (if not earlier). It had Akaviri origins, but in its modern from form it is wholly Cyrodilic.

It's probably called the Imperial Dragon because it's the symbol of the Empire :P It's on the banners in the Imperial City in Oblivion, on all the forts in Morrowind... The reason why they say it's an Akaviri symbol is because in the lore, it originally was. The Imperials took a lot of their culture from Akavir (such as the armor and weapons of the Blades, the architecture of Cloud Ruler Temple, etc.)

I made a single typo, my post is still readable. Your link is empty as we haven't added that section yet, use http://imperial-library.info/akavir/index.shtml one of the old page. Quoting directly from that article:
The most potent symbol of the Empire and the Imperial crown, the dragon banner, is said to be based on an Akaviri design as well.

In other words, like I said, it had Akaviri origins, but in its modern form it is wholly Cyrodilic. It is not a an "Akaviri banner," though it is "based on" an Akaviri design.

I always liked the symbol of http://images.uesp.net//a/a1/OB-BrumaShield.png though http://www.uesp.net/wiki/File:OrderOfTheDragon.gif is pretty cool to. I never thought of getting a TES symbol thats a good idea!

If anyone could render "Fiechtner" in deadric to let me see what it looksl like for me that would be awesome. Alaways thought getting something written in daedric would be cool, that or the moon and star would be awesome.
