Here's a fun little game we can all play! One person lists some sort of quirky behavior from an NPC or some quirky, nonsensical gameplay mechanic, and the next person in the thread has to create an in-lore explanation for this quirk that's funny.
The rules are:
1. Only Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim.
This increases the odds that the next person in the thread will have played the game, and thus know what you're talking about.
2. You have to stay in-lore.
No saying "Because Bethesda developed Fallout IV before finishing up on Skyrim" or something to that effect. Everything has to be in-lore.
3. Try your best to make it funny.
For example, if someone asks "Why can't you harm Barbas? If it's because he's a daedra, then how come you can harm other daedra?" then you cannot reply simply by saying "Because Clavicus banished Barbas from his realm, and he has no other realm to turn to." You can't say that, because it doesn't make a jok.
Here's a perfect example that I noticed in another thread, which gave me the inspiration to create this game. It concerned the "poisoned apples" from Oblivion:
Question: "Who in the 9 freaking Hells would eat the one remaining Apple after returning home to find all your food stolen?"
Answer: "the food is probably gone because somebody got the munchies (anyone who's lived with lousy roommates can likely attest to that) and I was hungry."

Let me give you ANOTHER example ... one that I came up with myself:
Question: "How is it that you're able to find an escaped criminal's exact locaton on your map, even though he's in the middle of nowhere?"
Answer: "Sattellite tracking system. The Elder Scrolls games actually take place in a post-apocolyptic future where the Empire has seized control of all technology, and brainwashed the citizens into thinking they're in a fantasy world, and brainwashed them into not questioning the presence of technology that doesn't fit in a fantasy world!"
So, what do you say we get this game started?
Ok, here's the first question, to get this game started:
Why are you released after just ten days, for killing someone - including a guard - in cold blood?
