TES CS Wiki - Now Open to the Public!

This is absolutely fantastic! I just couldn't be more pleased to see a tool like this available on the official site.? A centralized location is brilliant, and much appreciated.? Thank you, devs!?

Do you think it might be possible to create a section for mod ideas? It could keep a lot of requests out of the forums (hopefully). Also a section for resources, etc. would be nice.

Edit: Ack, didn't notice it was a sticky. I think it might also be a good idea(although probably a waste of time, unless you want to put in the ability to do so) to create polls, so others can put in how much they want a certain mod done.

That Wiki is my new God!
I've looked through it and it is incredibly more helpful than the old Morrowind CS Help File.

And I thought I would make tutorials for the Oblivion CS.....

Thank you so much for this amazing resource!

The wiki is just for the TESCS, it's not for the entire breadth of the modding community. Maybe if it works really well the devs will decide to expand it - heck, we might even put up a general game help wiki rather than having huge pinned threads with tons and tons of information.

But for the moment let's just see how the TESCS wiki goes :)

Yeah it's a very good idea with the wiki. But what I'm very interested in is the upload feature in the toolbox. Do you think we will be able to upload mods there too?

Uploading is for images and stuff, not actual plug-ins.

From my understanding we won't be allowing discussions on specific mods or modders. In fact I suspect advertising will be a bigger problem than vandalism.

Would we be able to have links to our mods on our eventual Userpages?

This is a wonderful idea, and will be VERY helpful. Good stuff, Bethesda! I am sure the community will weld this into an outstanding resource over the next months.

The CS wiki has been unlocked. You'll need to create an account in order to edit any of the pages. Please see http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/Standards_and_Policies before adding/changing any content.

Have fun! We hope the TES modding community makes this site their own.

I'm pretty new to the nuts and bolts of wiki. If the userpages are like forum profiles I don't think there should be a problem listing plug-ins.

Not only is this game well-designed, and has graphics like no other game in this genre, EVER, I am increasingly more blown away by this TES Construction Kit. The fact that it's free, says that Bethesda, and it's staff really do care about the community, and the customers.

You guys keep this up, and you'll take over!

lol, right on.

PS. Even though I have no idea how to use the Construction Set, it sure does look interesting!

Hermetic, that is an ignorant statement.

Once we get the nif tools, I plan doing a good bit of work on a modeling section. This was always a subject whose techniques were mostly spread by word of mouth, back in Morrowind. Hopefully this Wiki will help remedy that. It will also be crucial in spreading information about the new rendering techniques that many of us, who have only stuck with the elder scrolls games, are not familiar with.

Though I am rather miffed about the compatibility issues, as I have to buy a copy of 3DS Max 5.

I just got home from the store, installed Oblivion, created a Khajiit so I can see in the dark dungeon & have met the Emperor & gotten the fallen soldiers sword.....

.....but my real question is this "I am FRANTIC TO FIND TESCS for Oblivion!!! Where is it?? Gotta have it!! Now! I'm sorry but I'm too excited to sift through all the reading here - - there seems to be something about downloading Oblivion's construction set.

Please, please help me - - I've already got a Khajiity armor idea. I want to make it this weekend.

thanx!!! :goodjob:

btw-hiya again to all my friends I haven't seen for awhile...got totally addicted to Guild Wars waiting for Obliv. tee hee :gun:

New signups are now allowed, I just created my account. :D. Also made my first edit to the getangle page, with a special note that I think will be useful for modders trying to do some things with the player character. ^_^

BETHESDA - a wiki is ok for some - but not for others - I cant be the only one with slow AND expensive internet access, dislike of being online, and no internet connection to the PC with Oblivion on. Unless you produce some downloadable documentation ( or I can download some of the wiki site when I'm not feeling *** about this ) I will not be modding for Oblivion.

Is there a public library nearby? They generally have high speed connections and it would make it much easier to browse the wiki and copy what you need.

Well i am so surprised that so many people still live in the stoneage of computing .
As to your question ... Wiki's are never downloadable , as they are updated continiously .

Would it be possible for someone to fix the CSS layout of the wiki so that the Navigation/Toolbox/Search/Personal Tools menus don't overlap the top menus and many of the left side links? (It appears about a half inch from the left edge on my browser - Safari 2.0.3 running on Mac OS X 10.4.4...)

I posted a thread about this issue a couple days back, but it scrolled so fast and far off the top that *nobody* viewed it even once.
