You....go rest now!

This should make getting into modding much easier. Not that I need it or anything, I'm a pro, but you knew that.

A fantastic idea to put up a wiki for this and preload it with the "default" documentation! You couldn't make a better start, in my opinion.

Is it just me or is there no way to create a new account? I'm trying, but it won't let me log on with my forum name, and there is no form for a new account?

Am I being blind? Help me out here!

There's a logon but no create new account: http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php?title=Special:Userlogin&returnto=Special:Userlogin

You mean for the wiki? It says sign-ups are locked until next week (or was it later this week?)

First thing to fix:
The method used for the dotted-line bounding boxes do not work correctly for Firefox. They work fine in IE.

Example: http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/First_Steps : The line stating "If you choose to load any additional files, do not set any as your active file. The active file should always be the plugin you are making changes to.
When you load with no active file, the CS will prompt you to create a new one the first time you save.
" goes off screen to the right instead of making a line break at the edge of the bounding box.

The wiki is currently locked, and will be unlocked later this week. So you should be able to make an account by then.

lol I just noticed I'm a moderator again :) I will try to pin this thread but since the forums are still hammered nothing is working very well.

and yeah, I had the same problem with Firefox as dysesothymetric.

Take your time though guys, I'm sure everybody is busy, celebrating or both for the next few days :)

The WIKI is a REALLY smart idea to keep the info up to date. Nice move.

the 2GB memory recommendation for using the landscape editor isnt that comforting:

It is strongly recommended that you have at least 2 GB of RAM to use
the Heightmap Editing, and at least 1 GB of RAM for any world and level
building.

I don't usually post here, but I can't let this one pass. Creating a wiki for the CS is an awesome idea. I've been using them for a while (for free software development et al.) and you couldn't have chosen better. Great job, devs, nice nice move.

This is just plain great! Thanks!! :D

Aside from the dotted box problem, I find the style-sheet hard to read in general. I don't know, maybe it's better on LCDs? On my calibrated CRT, the contrast is just too low for me. Increasing the font size doesn't work well because of the fixed widths. For now, I've just added

@-moz-document domain("cs.elderscrolls.com") {* { color: black !important }}

to my firefox configuration with the Stylish extension. Guess I need to learn CSS to properly customize it. :)

Defenatly aprove the decision to make a wiki instead of the traditional help file.
And anyway, as the wiki gets better some parts may be available for offline reading.

This will help us all alot...
Concentration of information from all the community is defenatly a plus.
and the info available already is very well put even for beginners...

This is a wonderful idea, and will be VERY helpful. Good stuff, Bethesda! I am sure the community will weld this into an outstanding resource over the next months.

Heh, could also put you out of a job, buddy. :) Glad to see you'll be able to focus on modding this time, instead of the Script Bible.

This is absolutely fantastic! I just couldn't be more pleased to see a tool like this available on the official site. A centralized location is brilliant, and much appreciated. Thank you, devs!
