and yet you guys get armistice day off, we still have to go to school/ work in england

If is wasn't for them, you'd be speaking German right now.

tha one is far-fetched, but they contributed toa faster win. Wimy Ridge was no mean feat, but wasn't a decisive breakthrough as they wer backup german positions beyond the ridge. But that problem was aboutthe same for everyone in the war : you could move reserves to plug behind a breach faster than the attacker could bring his own reserves to exploit the breach (moving equipment and supplies is way faster through roads and rail than through a bombed-out wasteland.

I've heard that at one important battle, the English and French retreated, but the Canadians stayed to hold the line. They managed to beak back the Germans, despite heavy losses. If they hadn't have done that, Germany would have over-run the lines, and won that battle entirely. Maybe I heard that story wrong, but if its true, than I'd say Canada helped change the course of History.

One of the things we did different was that every soldiers knew everyone elses role. So when your buddy got shot you could do what he was doing as well.

How do I know this? I don't know!!!

I'll get right on it. What sort of weapons are you looking for? Tell me what categories and what armies, and I'll list everything I can find - and pictures, if available. :D

Normal bolt action rifles, some sort of machine gun here and there, snper rifles (bolt action + scope?) flame throwers (maybe) flare(guns), not sure if we should have hand held explosives other then grenades...

Oh, and Anti-Tank rifles (sorry, no bazooka's!)
