tes5edit red lines

Hello

I want to use tes5edit, cause many recommend it. I don't have any crashes with skyrim, but they still recommend it.

I already cleaned the master files update/dawnguard/hearthfire watching a tutorial.

Now I want to clean downloaded mods.

I read and watched tutorials, but im having the problem they didnt explain what i have to do with the red lines, just what the background and text color stand for.

I learned from the tutorials how to clean identical green files, but now what to do with the reds?

Maybe there is a tutorial in the big internet I missed, which explains different red color situations?

Simple example from me.

I loaded a random mod. "lighter armor" (I only picked that without any other, the other esm/esp loaded automatically)

klicked a random red entry "armorironshield"

If it looks like this, do I have to do anything?

here the example picture: (put a ".de" after pic-upload, it seems I cant post normal links)

pic-upload/view-24376949/tes5example.jpg.html

So its red - ok.

Looks like skyrim.esm and federleicht ruestung.esp (lighter armor) are the same (beside the weight) - ok.

So whats up with unoffical skyrim patch.esp

olive green means the mod wins over the red file. And now? Anything to edit? A Tutorial page, which describes when i really have to edit would be hilarious.

thank u very much

greets

Kitteh

Red means that records have been modified by several plugins. In this case the USKP fixes two records from light to heavy, but federleicht ruestung.esp changes it back to vanilla settings. So it depends on what you want. If you want the settings in federleicht ruestung.esp, keep it as it is as it loads last of them and will win out. If you want the USKP fixes carried over, simply drag/drop those records from USKP to federleicht ruestung.esp and then save the changes when TES5Edit closes.
