TESCOSI

--That's TES-cosy

All right guys, the new site is live. It's locked down for now, but I'm pushing it out there because the other sites are out dated. I'll be adding redirects to those over the course of this week. Before I open the site at all or start adding new content, I'm going to have to get some policy and licensing presets together to stamp on images. After the old screen shots have been reuploaded, I'll begin adding new pages (i.e., to complete the installation guides).

If you haven't used uesp.net before or aren't used to wikis, the best way to find content is to search by a few terms. 90% of the articles on the site are down one step. So going to http://tescosi.com/wiki/Oblivion or http://tescosi.com/wiki/General should have most everything listed.

Happy gaming!

Yup, there were a lot of good arguments for it. Now, I can make updates on the fly.

I don't know how open its going to get. I haven't messed with user right yet, but I'll definitely be looking for request for editors. I'll be sending out invitations too. Basically, anyone's invited, ha-ha. I don't know if account creation is enabled right now though. :L

Personally I'm not a fan of wikis. They tend to actually make stuff harder to find, but maybe this one being closed will be different.

I also see that you have the top left icon as site icon how nice. I like it.

...That's why I shied away from it in the beginning. This is definitely an experiment. I really want to keep it small, but it already needs better organization and navigation methods.

Yeah, it's a temporary fix. There are a lot of classes and ids to look through to offer new skins as well. The logo's gotta match. :?

It sure do and I suggest that you keep the icon, because to me COSI stands for... Configuration of Oblivion, Shivering Isle

Thank you Tomlong for the continued development of the site - Now its gone live I have just updated the links in the Wrye Bash Pictorial Guide to TESCOSI Oblivion main page http://tescosi.com/wiki/Oblivion . I think from there anyone familiar with the old sites side menus will find it very familiar. Its looking good :goodjob:

Edit: Erm, what just happened? The link above gives "There is currently no text in this page. You can search for this page title in other pages, or search the related logs."

Edit2: nvm - the full stop just after the link above became part of the link

Oh, wow. I had no clue. I was wondering why I was only seeing v4 in new users' load orders. Thank you for pointing that out. I will get both fixes up today. I'm having quit some trouble getting 301 Redirects implemented on the old sites at the moment.

I'll get a site notice on the dev site to point users to the real site as well.

Thank you!

Interesting. I think the closed wiki approach could really help this time around, it's worked very well for OBGE so far and lets a multitude of people maintain the site so that when you're busy someone else can keep things up to date.

Speaking of up-to-date, I noticed a few typos on the BOSS and load order page (most obvious is that BOMM doesn't just need Windows, it needs Word too), and you should probably also add BOSS Userlist Manager (BUM) to the utilities list - BOMM is now outdated thanks to the combination of BOSS's own features and BUM.

Yup, on the to-do list already. ^-^

So far, I've only managed to redirect the main page of TESIV:POSItive. Grrr... I don't know what's wrong with the page redirect. :( As soon as I get this project out of the way I can focus on content updates and image uploads and whatnot.

I've only visited the OBGE wiki once and very recently, but I liked what I saw. Because of all of the stuff with the site transformation I haven't fully caught up on all the goings on in the community yet. :L

Thanks for checking it out so quickly!

Yeah you probably missed slof departing TESNexus, if you know where her old site was (cant link because its an advlt site) just replace slofshive with slofslair.
She has given up modding for Oblivion completely now, but a few of them have had a last update.
Unfortunately because all TESNexus mods were removed, your BAIN for Rob male v5 went too - However there is still a v5 on TESNexus, its just not obvious ...
Room207's AMB is based on it and adds more options.... But - if you have a look in the list of BAINs in the Wrye Bash Pictorial Guide I have linked Malonn's version of AMB (which is the most up to date with regards the wizard installer - It has been re-uploaded since changes Wrye Bash wizards made older BAINs incompatible, and also has a note about the idle.anims which made npc's walk on the spot).
Room207 has been too busy RL to update again.

Cool, glad to know you will be updating things again, so that we all have a definitive guide to Oblivion's best practices. So what exactly is COSI?

PS: Suggestion: Can you add a section on Oblivion modding for Steam users? As Oblivion is now in the Steam bargain bin, we will be getting more and more questions on that platform...l

Thanks for the info. I actually have most of her mods downloaded, almost everything except for the races.

Of course. I hadn't realized how big Steam had grown until recently.

Still trying to figure out this redirect mess...
