Ok, I downloaded v283, extracted the files into the oblivion folder, clicked yes to overwrite everything, and then redid the steps needed before launching Wrye Bash.
Still a no go for me, cant get it up and running. I am using Win7 Pro.

You are on 64-bit too, right? I think I found the fix, or at least I found the problem.

Yes, 64 bit. I also made sure I am running as admin.

That's what I thought. Follow the link I posted (twice) to see if that shortcut config works for you. This is a 64-bit users issue, and I need to add special instructions for it. I do not have Win7 64-bit; otherwise, this would have been tested and done with already.

Oops, I forgot to post the solution here. You need to run the wxpython installer that the Wrye Python 02 package extracts. That particular executable fails to run on 64-bit systems.

"Oh, I guess you are on 64-bit. What you have to do is go to the folder where you ran the Wrye Python 02 executable. It extracted the installers for the dependencies into a folder there. Run the one for wxpython. It does not get installed when that package is run on 64-bit Win7 or Vista. "

I cant seem to find that folder. I looked in the folder that has the v02 package executable and nothing else.

Run the installer again. The file path for the extraction should be mentioned.

Edit: Do that, or download the separate wxpython installer. There is a link in the Wrye Bash setup instructions on my site (in all locations.) The separate packages have a strike through through them.

Ok, a different error this time heh

File "...Oblivion\Mopy\bosh.py", line 19607, in initDirs raise BoltError(_("Install Error\nFailed to find Oblivion.exe in %s.\nNote that the Mopy folder should be in the same folder as Oblivion.exe.)"

It looked in bolt.Path('C:\\Windows') instead of the actual location the Oblivion.exe is in. And I do have the Mopy folder in the same folder and the Ob.exe

If you have run the wxpython file now, just make a shortcut to the .pyw launcher file. That shortcut should work this time.

Heh, after I downloaded and installed the wxPython, I tried the modified shortcut again to launch Bash, and it didnt work and got that error. So I just tried the original launcher button inside the Mopy folder and BINGO, it worked. Thank you very much for your help. :foodndrink:

Make a shortcut to that launcher file. I prefer to keep Lock Times on unless I am running BOSS. Otherwise, accidents may happen and you may find yourself wondering why your stinking 200+ plugin LO is gone all screwy... Is it obvious enough that I have gone through that?

Correct. I downloaded seperately the wxPython and after installing v02 package, I then ran the wxPython. and now I can just copy/paste the Wrye Bash launcher shortcut to the desktop and it opens up the program.

That's because I do not use DR, haha. It is a gamplay change, so that is where I would put it unless there are conflicts with other files. Are there? Could you tell me what it conflicts with in that case?

BOSS takes care of that plugin. If that is the name of your plugin, I think you need to update. In my LO that plugin has a much different name. It should have the NpcFaces and Deactivate tag, and those tags came from BOSS in my setup.

Edit: If BOSS recognizes a plugin, the tags are probably right, unless you see a major update for the mod.

Absolutely. I would put it at the end of my unofficial patches section, right before optimized distant land MAX. That is just a catch the special cases for mods with meshes that need to load after the UOP but really fit into one of the earlier sections. I will probably make a new section header for that (i.e., "Post Unofficial Patches" or something...)

And I need some serious troubleshooting...
1. Tried to use Form ID finder - refused to work until I reinstalled with default meshes - did not work with pyffied. Small problem.
2. Found out that whenever I exit conversation, I get immediate CTD. Big problem.
By the look of it, I managed to BAINstall Darnified UI - everything looks cool but could there be problem with the UI?
How to find out what is the reason for the CTDs at the moment I exit the conversation with NPC?

Otherwise, thanks to the new card, things never looked better.

EDIT: been almost a day without an answer from you so I presume RL again messed with gaming.
Problem fixed - showler told me what to change in Enhanced Economy 4.05 + so that no CTD anymore, I can talk to anybody

Was time and nerve consuming but worth it. No light spell at the moment of taking the shot, no torches - this is just the glow from the welkynd stones!
No CTDs so far after fixing the EE exiting dialog issue, only once (total time playing 3:08) my hand froze in middle of casting a spell.

Some notes:
1 Do not PYFFI Form ID Finder - mine stopped working after PYFFI-ing it

2. I know now how to create complex BAIN packages. Activating and correct installation is another matter - Used OBMM for Darnified UI (this one beats me! Darn is genius and I will never understand this mod's physics.
3. Same thing with Sensual Walk For NPC - didn't want to risk it after the Darn fiasco...

sure is sure. Although I imagime I create BAIN pacage with the mapping options -&meshes and another with the patches.

So far so good. Haven't noticed any land mass problems (but still haven't ran TES4LODGenerator - want to test more before this.)

I've got a lot of the same mods installed, I'm not sure on quite a few, I'm not entirely sure if you need Armamentarium female.esp, from Eve, according to the Readme,- "Armamentarium - Use EVE_stockequipmentreplacer.esp, load after uop/usip/, and ArmamentariumFemale.esp must be actived if not using bash. If using bash then it can be merged. and will be active in bashed patch itself."

I have it on mine, however it's tagged Graphics,NoMerge, but it's also in Black text,(not sure if it should be Purple or Green)
My game is currently "Fairly Stable", it might go 6hrs. and not crash or 5min And crash... It drops me right out to the Desktop when I quit,(I haven't had That Luxery for quite awhile, I'm not sure what I have differant with that yet)

I Do still have the issue with the nvde Partner, Tes4Edit shows a conflict on Bound Currias with Supreme Magic increaseing the Durability, but bash changes it back..., that's all I can think of???
