Only thing I would buy from a cash shop is like bag space like how Dragon Nest-Vindictus has bag space increases from its cash shop. I don't really need to buy extra mounts if the imperial edition comes with one.

I don't have any interest in making a game of my own. My interests are psychology/anthropology/human behavior in general and politics in various fields. I wouldn't ask you to become a politician or a psychologist. But you make a great examply of my recent studies in fallacies of argumentation, since your not attacking nor criticising my actual arguments with a counter argument.
And I suggest you read up on why it's an issue. It has nothing to do with treating oneself every now and then, something out of the ordinary. Unless you're pro p2w.
Actually, I have loads of posts about it (but obviously not here). I can provide you several links to various statistics regarding capitalism/poverty, videos and studies and how it affects us. However I will not give you links to anything I find to be a work in progress, simply because it needs to be refined and double/tripple checked.
They were being announced upon release. No heads up, nothing, the only statement up till the point of release of the CE was that all content would be available to all players and everything would be covered by the subscription fee. It's out of context because you're not taking into account everything that's been said by me previously in this thread (and/or other threads). This has been covered already.
You mean that it happened for many years in WoW. Then yes, sure I agree, but this game even not started, please make your actions on games that in your opinion broke those rules for years, why do you agree to all of the bad things happening in WoW?
I dont think it will be that strange as most MMOs do so with vehicles / mounts.
Also the FAQ states:
https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4953/kw/imperial
No. The Imperial mount that allows you to "travel with speed through Tamriel" travels at the same speed as other mounts found within the game.
Other mounts indicate that it is a mount in its own right
There might be a minimum level restriction for its use ... which is OK. I would encourage a min level of 10.
It might not be accessible until 04/04/14 as the FAQ shows the goodies are not included in the early start (still unsure if this also refers to Imperial race)
It is one per account (not one per toon) but it is not confirmed if it binds to the individual toon
I have send a message to ZeniMax asking about the date of horse availability and the transferability between characters of the same account once the horse has been used via the shared bank
I can't imagine playing this game without the ability to purchase a beautiful teal green dress for my tall beautiful character. Thank goodness for the store.
Wait
I don't need to dress my character in fine attire to have fun playing this game. Who would care if it's offered or not? It's like wearing designer cloths in real life. Some think they must have them, others enjoy life just fine going to thrift shops. I think I will have just as much fun without buying a bunch of unneeded items in the little store. I'll make do with the in game items that come with the game.
Fancy doesn't equal fun in my world.
IMO if there's a cash shop it should sell as much as possible. Most MMOG cash shops only exploit a certain type of MMOGer with cosmetics, I say exploit them all.
As long as I can feasibly get everything they offer in-game, through a time commitment, they can put whatever they want in the shop as far as I'm concerned. I like Rift's model, where you can buy every armor set appearance in the store if you'd like(even raid gear) or you can go and get the actual items if you'd like. Their model works for everyone I think, and while I don't like the idea of an in-game cash shop with a sub game, if they stick to one like Rift's and its unobtrusive then there's no reason to complain.
Also, if someone could explain this to me, why does every call WoW's online shop a cash shop? Sure you can buy mounts or services, but its nothing like a F2P in-game shop. I seem to remember them planning on putting an in-game shop in with exp boosters(why you would need one in WoW is beyond me), but I don't recall the shop being in yet.
I'd lose respect for this game if there was a cash shop. Collector's bonuses are one thing but cash shop is a money grab.
Because if you can use cash instead of in game currency to buy stuff its technically a cash shop.
Maybe we should all agree to make a distinction between different types of cash shops.
The pay to win shop, the commodity shop, etc...
It's not only in WoW, but they were one of the first to successfully do so since the game became more mainstream accepted due to their redirection of goal after their previous CEO left (or whoever major dude it was that left, can't remember atm).
What do you mean that I agree to those bad things happening in WoW? You mean that I supported it? No, I didn't. I've never bought any in game items/mounts/pets/what ever for cash.
I actually hope they offer some nice cosmetic outfits in the game store, I am willing to drop a few bucks to make my character look a bit distinctive when I have to look at them for a few years while playing the game. Too often games only give us dull, uninteresting outfits to wear or you end up with mismatched pieces of this and that which look lame when worn together.
So? Many successful games have cash shops where you can buy a whole host of items... This is the new way of things. Better embrace change... Besides, I don't really call spending 100.00 on an item in a ''cash shop'' a micro transaction....
and good keep this way if it matches your attitude (so it is also mine). We can just hope TESO will have pure p2p style.
I'm gonna pot some tags, got twenty dollars in my pocket....
I can either by that beautiful teal dress in the cash shop in this game or get several lollipops and a candy bomb in sugar crush. For those who want such junk, it must fulfill some desire in them. So be it. Myself, should I spend my money in a game it must be something I really, really want. Sugar Bombs and Horse Armor or pets just doesn't suit me. But if I can buy that beautiful dress for a few bucks, it's going to happen.
It's quite likely I will never buy anything from this shop just as I don't tend to buy lollipops.
Some do. We all have different priorities. I'll not judge another for how they choose to spend their money. So be it. I'll be having fun anyway.
This is me, laughing at your attempt to tie the CE to the evils of capitalism.
While I will certainly agree that the nature of capitalism can lead to many of the ills of the world, the root cause of those issues are not because of capitalism. 'Capitalism' is merely an economic tool, and like all tools it can be used for benficial purposes as well. Or have you conviently forgotten that all the technology you are using was developed by people who sought to positively impact their world and increase their wealth at the same time?
This entire thread is hilarious. The outrage of some people at the audacity of a company developing a product that they hope will turn a profit, and then attempting to maximize that profit, is golden. Perhaps it is even worthy enough to make it on to http://ac360.blogs.cnn.com/category/the-ridiculist/.
1. We don't allow you to insult others even to indicate you are laughing at them.
2. And more important we don't allow political discussion here and economic models are indeed considered political.
So don't.

i dont see how anyone can say that we wont see this type of advertisemant in the chat box. this type of advertising is normal and very much a part of any cash shop in an mmo. it's very disturbing
I play GW2 and that's very cash-shop centric. I rarely see anything regarding the actual shop while I play game. In fact, I can't remember a time I did. Only when I open the actual shop window do I see messages like this. Rift is the same.
it was in the chat box during game play every 15 minutes in "fallen Earth MMO" <- (which is a subscription or f2p by choice mmo) it was also in the chat box in perfectworld international mmo every 20 minutes. <- is f2p
so, both subscription and f2p has these
Gamersfirst are to blame for the FE spam - it's pretty ridiculous now - but when I play FE, I just get used to it - or have the tab closed entirely and keep slapping hermit crabs.
Wow.. talk about misinterpeting and exaggerating on purpose in a poor attempt to ridicule me.. good job /golfclap
because zenimax has now opened the door to a whole world of cash shop / pay wals / extra content to purchase / ect ect ect .. all from that CE and what it implies they will have in the future. they / we have now allowed a pandoras box to be opened and the suits are drooling with what they know will be massive income for what should have been included with the subscription but is now no longer sub only material.
