Test Pilots wanted!

Are you tired of fighting dragons in the same old way, standing on the ground and waiting for them to come to you?

Would you never be caught dead trusting one of the vicious beasts enough to ride it?

Do you reckon levitation rings and spells are for Wimpy Wizards?

Then the http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/19741 might be for YOU!

Ok, ok, sales pitch over :). This is the first actual alpha release of my seems-to-have-been-forever in progress flying machine mod. I'm in need of a few people who'd like to give it a thorough testing for me, and let me know of bugs, incompatibilities, stupidly high PC requirements, or things that could be improved.

There isn't any quest to get it, it comes in four 'levels' (tougher and more manouverable each level up), and all the weapons are fitted by default.

So... any takers? Any questions?

This looks pretty cool. I have one question and one slight criticism.

The question is: How do you aim? The magic seemed to follow a curved path to the target. Was that from the machine or your character? I would also assume that mounted combat is out for this, which is fine by me.

The slight criticism, I think it should be able to fly as fast, or close to as fast as the dragons. But, I also know the dangers of setting speeds too high. Once you get over whatever threshold it is, the movement looks weird.

The aiming is partly automatic. So long as the flying machine is more-or-less pointed at the dragon, the missile locks on and seeks the dragon out. If the dragon's more than (about) 45 degrees off center then the shot's a straightforward projectile.

I can certainly try boosting the speed of the machine, but the dragons sometimes go crazy-fast in combat. Way faster than the player can safely be moved except, perhaps, on very high-end rigs. As I've only been able to try it on my own machine, I really need to know how it behaves on a few others before I try pushing it too hard.

At the moment the flyer goes about as fast as a sprinting horse, perhaps a little quicker.
