Testing custom maps

Post » Mon Jul 11, 2011 4:18 pm

I finally finished my first map but there doesn't seem to be a proper way to test it out unless on a game server, so does anyone know a way how the test the support bonuses and overall if it would work on a real server, without actually having to own a server?

Do you have a link on Crymod to your map information page and screenshots of your map?

You should make one of those first so people have some info on your map then servers will be willing to test your map to see if it works ok. :)

Also I doubt support bonuses will work, they don't work on any custom maps currently. :/

It's important to run your own dedicated server on your own LAN to test custom maps. Then beable to access your personal server via TCP through the internet to private clients directly without the need for third party server intervention.

Let us know how that goes for you... I'd like to know too.
