TESV: Corrupt a Wish

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 7:35 am

granted, but argonians can only swim and can't wear armor.

I want the game to have a long, well-thoutout, main quest.

Granted, but now all there is is a main quest and your forced to do it.
I wish for the ability to pick up and set down candles for light sources in houses

Granted. However, the physics system on the items are like Oblivion on crack. In addition, they integrated a full physics system for fire, and items/objects in the game world are entirely flammable. Due to time constraints, there are no ways to put out such fires.

I wish for TES V to have no level scaling.

Granted, but there is no levelling.

I wish that the jumping animation would look better.

Granted, but due to the extra space needed for jumping, the backwards animation is now the same as forward.

I wish that all of Valenwood's trees are burned down.

I wouldn't mind no levels, provided they can up with a good way to deal with Magica and health and fatigue and other level-based things

granted, but the devs spend so much time on the jumping animation that none of them actually give the player the ability to jump.

I wish that the game only comes out fully finished, but that this happens within a year.

Granted, but the game is only released in Bolivia and Nigeria.

I wish the game has tons of joinable factions.

Granted. The NAMBLA and Scientology factions are introduced.

I wish TES V has a lot of interesting, wholesome lore.

Granted. TESV introduces a 12 volume book-set that lists the total geneologies of Berenziah, Urial Septim, and Fargoth. Another 5 volume set compares the various dialects spoken across cities of Colovia.

I wish that TESV would return the Dunmers' gravely voices from TESIII.

Granted, but so do all the other races. And that attractive Breton woman eying you from the other side of the room sounds just like she smokes 9 packs a day with Jiub's masculine voice and makes noises like a cliff racer when she laughs. Putting a sack over her head won't fix this problem.

I wish there was a larger variety of monsters.

Granted. TESV is the first official release after Bethesda merged with the Pokemon franchise. Now you can meet rats, ogres, or squirtles in a dark cave.

I wish that TESV had a more PC-like interface.

Granted, but the game has the graphics of an old Machintosh PC, the npcs are all triagles and the monsters are all sprites that look like the ones from space invaders.

I wish TESV had better animations and used motion capture for the fighting.

Granted but due to budget constraints, they had to mocap a class of 6 year old karate students.

I wish the main quest would take over 100 hours to complete.

Granted. The people used for motion capture however are two scrawny nerds from a comic/anime convention. Fighting degenerates into a melee flurry of silly slaps.

I wish TES V would finally get freakin' announced!

Granted, but it it's release date is set to be in 30 years.

I wish that they fix the psychic guards in TES V.

Granted, but the guards are now clueless to the point of seeing you murder a woman, and yell "There's been an accident!".

I wish for climbing to come back.

Granted, but it does so because of repeated repetitive fetch quests.

Same wish as above.

Granted, but each and every one of them is guarded by a genetic splice of Fargoth and the Adoring Fan.

I wish for the ability to complete quests in multiple ways.

Granted, but there are only 2, and 1 is always, a silly khajit ruining it with hi-jinx (this determined by whether or not you have any food in your inventory)

I wish there was water pollution.

Okay but upon drinking it there is a 9 minute diarrhea animation.

Oh and I wish there were more realistic npc schedules like jobs.

Granted. They work from 9 to 5 and the guards kill you for not having a job of your own.

Granted but now you have to visit your spouse every 5 minutes or you will be divorced resulting in a game over screen.

I wish that the story plot was more morally grey with many different endings.

Granted, but to reach the ending you must follow one specific path, and the only difference in the ending is Dependant on the amount of minutes you play. 61 mins. is an ending, and 62 mins. is another.

I wish for less linearity and less repetitive dungeons.

I wish for several new spell effects in TESV.

granted, but all of the new effects are slight vqriations of esisting ones; IE; reverse levitate (which obviusly would get pretty buggy)

I wish that Pete Hines signs my copy.
