TESV: Corrupt a Wish #2

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 8:03 am

Granted, but like daggerfall it is all randomly generated.

I wish for working chimneys, different lights at diffeent times, and windows you can see out of.

granted. unfortunately there are no chimneys in the game, nor is there any light. nor can you see anything whatsoever.

I wish Bethesda sends me a copy of TES V for my birthday with all their signatures on it and a note that says, "Hi Matt! You are our favorite fan, and in fact our favorite person, ever. Enclosed you will find a copy of TES V and 10 million dollars.

Granted, unfortunately, your name isn't Matt, the game is frightfully horrible, and its 10million dollars in monopoly money.

I wish for more quests.

You didn't make a wish, Don't forget this, so I'll make one for you: I wish the player character can lie down in the next game.

Granted, but there is a glitch preventing you from getting back up.

I wish for there to be crossbows in the next game.

Granted, but they are useless misc items, not weapons.

I wish that the player can join the evil side in next game, without the need to create a mod.

Granted, but when you are evil, store owners will not sell to you, guilds are not open to you, and cities close their gates to you. Because you're just so damn evil.

I wish that TES V will have real time weather changes.

Granted, but you get hit by lightning during the first storm that pops up and die.

I wish for spears and throwing knives in the next game that are actually useful in combat.

Granted, spears and throwing knives are in the game and useful, alas they're so damn overpowered that they ruin all fun in the game.

Wish: Characters jump realistically and not 5 feet into the air as in OB...

Granted, but for this reason many areas are inaccessible, since you can only jump a foot or two off the ground.

I wish for the removal of teleportation-style fast travel (make it have Morrowind style fast travel, or even WoW style flight masters).

Granted, but the only form of fast travel is when colossal Cliff Racers swoop down and take you to their nest of hungry little ones. ...and the game doesn't end until you have heard the last moments of your own digestion, while suffering though endless hours of incessant screetching.

I wish to have a TES game with few bugs, no CTD's, that has hundreds of well developed side-quests, graphics that make me think that this not just another midevil world, and is completely enjoyable to play.

Granted, but there are only two places you can travel right next to each other, and there are no teleportation spells.

I wish there was a much wider variety of spell effects that you can use in spellcrafting.

That's not one wish, but okay; there's only a few bugs, but the ones that are there are really serious and destroy your game - there are no CTDs, only freezes that can't be solved, many well-developed side quests, but no way to find the NPCs who give them to you, graphics that don't remind you of a medieval world but don't really remind you of anything, because nothing's visible, and the game's completely enjoyable to play... until you've created your character and find that you can't see anything.

I wish there was a much wider variety of spell effects that you can use in spellcrafting.

Granted, but only a master of the Mage Guild can make spells and enchant items, and you can't become the master.

Now for my wish: I wish my name will be in the credits.

Wish granted. Unfortunately, TES V is a massive commercial bust (perish the thought) and you're but one of many employees laid off by Bethesda. Now nobody in the industry will take you seriously after having seen that you worked on that abomination of a game! You spent the next few years sleeping in alleyways and eating out of garbage cans before dying a burned out skooma addict.

I wish that TES V will actually run well on my computer.

Granted. But TES is now a guar racing game! Breed the fastest, strongest guar and win the Cliffracer Grand Cup!

I wish TESV has a fully developed Necromancer faction.

It will have, but it's in another province than the game is, and you won't see anything other than a few references to it in NPC dialogue and in books.

I wish Bethesda has hired the best fantasy writers of all time (including resurrected dead ones) to write the text, dialogue and story of the game.

Granted, the best fantasy writers from the past, present, and even future are all summoned to make TESV a new pinnacle in not just game writing, but storytelling itself. However, it is filled with gross depictions of violence, gore, and sixual acts. It is banned in all countries, and the game never receives more than a limited release of 1000 copies. Bethesda softworks receives terrible publicity, it and all subsidiaries (Bethesda game studios, id software, ect.) go bankrupt, and the elder scrolls series ends. The series is kept going several years on, in the form of mods for currently released titles, but as time goes by, it fades to nothing but a memory.

I hope TESV incorporates more than one province.

Granted, but it's Cyrodiil and Morrowind, and they're both just copy-pasted from the previous games.

I wish mods for TES V will be in such high demand that people start paying for them and I can quit school and make a livelihood of just modding quests etc :)

Granted, but it pays very little, and you have to spend long hours working, staring at that computer screen, which is what contributes to your going blind. Then you can't mod, so you don't have a job.

Then your a blind homeless person!

I wish that TESV will receive continuous DLC support, and will remain fresh for a number of years.

Granted, but all the DLC is just Fallout 3 DLC in Oblivions' setting.

I wish that we would finally get a release date that isn't ridiculously far away.

Granted, but the release date is for the game in Minoan Linear A, so no one in the world can actually understand it.

I wish TES V would support 64-bit and DX10 properly.

Well, since you wished for it, it will, but it can't play on any older systems that ones made in 2011, forcing anyone wanting to play TES V to buy a new high-tec computer thus making Bethesda lose a lot of potential costumers.

I wish TES V will have an easter egg with reference to the April's fools joke that's become so infamous on this forum :)

Granted, but it's no easter egg, it's completely true. The game is really on Summerset Isle. (If only that part of it were true!!!!!) ...and it is an MMO (Cue the Darth Vader, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!111!!!!!")

I wish that the Bosmer race would be portrayed as less annoying.

Granted, the High Elves cast a spell on their entire race making them mute, which makes it quite difficult since TESV will be set in Valenwood!

I wish Bethesda will release a map of Akavir when they release TESV

Granted! Unfortunately, the game is set in Skyrim, but they provide no map of Skyrim, only Akavir, so it is impossible to navigate the province.

I wish for more foods and drinks.
