What's JRPG (Junior Roleplaying Game?)

Japanese roleplaying game, he is talking about BIG swords that would be impossible to use in real life (think the FF series) EDIT: gah i was ninjad

I would want

More weapons/ armor

more races

larger map

more/ larger ruins, dungons, caves etc to explore

the ability to create my own weapons/ armor if im good enough in smithing ( a weapon/ armor editor kinda like wat need for speed did with body kits or something?)

larger citys and more small villages

traveling merchents

online play like coop multiplayer battle arena( one on one fighting team fighting and survival gladiator style where u and some friends and maybe some npcs against strong monsters or something)

better leveling system please

better character models

ability to buy out shops to gain income or possibly the ability to start your own town?

way more guilds and factions to join

different ways to go up the social rankings of those guilds( set up a rebelion against the current leadership perhaps? assassinate the head and take over maybe?)

more means for poisoning

more spells and more spell animations depending on strenth of spell and different effects not just the same things with different colors

more fighting combos like finishing moves etc

more weapon types like spears throwing weapons morning stars etc

the ability to taunt again

class/race dependent skill caps

different animations for races and different animations depending on skill level in watever your doing

and thats all i can think of as of right now

Stupid = Subjective.
Unrealistic = Don't give a frootloop. Although it is realistic. But even if it wasn't, poetic justice.

EDIT: Fashion over function is my new motto. Thong wearing Xivilai, wielding JRPG-sized swords of a western design=AWESOMESAUCE!

It isn't really the style of the Elder Scrolls universe, and I hope it doesn't change towards it.

Never seen tonfas or butterfly knives? Or is all your knowledge of fighting gathered from games?

Alright that was some lame fighting.

I didn't word that properly.
Without bashing Oblivion, I wasn't satisfied with the immersion factor. So I screamed; "To Oblivion with it!" and downloaded Slof's entire library.
Seriously though, dual-wielding very much has its place in TES world.

I would never do such a thing in Morrowind... :D

May I ask why?

Because we are sick JRPGs in the most view and most of TES community doesn't want TES to be a JRPG style.

I despise JRPGs with a burning passion. But that doesn't quite answer my question, now does it?

Do it like Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance, Dual wield in the shield hand will make it 50% lesser damage

NO!!! I like being able to carry 3 swords, 2 staffs, 4 full pairs of Armour and 6 shield around with along with a huge supply of ingredients, potions, books, keys, gems and gold. It makes me fell like an army a bit :D

Well you SHOULD be able to carry that much but sure not be a grace with it.
I mean you won't be able to jump and skip around with 50 pounds of bricks on your back. So all your strength should be good for looting but not for going into battle carrying half a armies worth of weapons.

Before I had my mid-life crisis and started downloading mods that [censored] the lore, I used to limit myself or use mods to do it for me.
I think the core gameplay, as far as carrying things goes, should stay the same. With mods that fix it.

I can see an Assassin using two daggers, but that is as far as it goes for me.

I suppose you're one of those people who can't see g--
nvm
Seriously though, dual wielded short swords/long daggers. Then, "superior" races could dual-wield battleaxes!
For those who don't want 1 hit kills like it should be, ?ber-characters (like 100 strength) = 1 claymore in each hand! Backfires!

It's an RPG not a 100% action game.

dual wield only with daggers or hand weapons (claw, katar, brass knuckles, that sort of thing).

Basically, I wish there was some benefit to not using a shield with the off-hand, other than RPing purposes. Faster attacks, maybe?
