Okay, I bought Oblivion GotY Edition on Steam.

I played through the first area and the game runs in max graphics perfectly. I got outside and went to the area right across the way and started exploring. Got to the first book in the game, opened it up and it looked fine for a second or two, then this happened:

Switching back and forth between pages got the text to display properly again, but only for a few seconds each time. Long enough to get through the book at least. Went inside, explored around, found a scroll. Can't use the flipping pages thing with that.

Any idea what is wrong or how to fix this? I tried the Steam forums, but they were not very helpful. I have installed the unofficial patch, but that didn't help either.
