texture mod question

Post » Mon Jul 25, 2011 8:27 pm

I have QTP3Redimized and Optimized QTP3 Meshes Fixed plus Bomrets Texture Pack for Shivering Isle. Besides that I have Vibrant textures for both oblivion and SI. Which of these textures and meshes are better between Qarl/Bombret and Vibrant? Another question, if I go and install qtp3 should I overwrite the meshes from the unofficial supplemental oblivion patch 337?

Well is a matter of taste.I am going to install vibrant as base for both cyrodill and SI,then Bomret texture pack and QTP3 Redimized.Btw you have to install the unofficial patches before, then install the compatibility patch for qtp3 and uop(I've read somewhere that it is already included into qtp3 redimized) and,at the end, install oblivion supplemental patch

Yup, it's a question of taste. I don't like the brightness of the Vibrant textures, so I still with QTP3. You could also try that Oblivion enhanced normals mod. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm planning on it. I like to collect texture replacers... :L

There are so many awesome Texture replacements out there, there is not a single replacer to be THE best.
And somehow it really depends on your own preferences.
I cant tell how many, but surely its over half a dozen i use. best to test some replacers, but dont expect an all of a sudden best ever textured oblivion.
it takes some time to find what you want. just start with something, and you'll notice what you like and what not.
