Texture pop in with Water reflections

For a while I've been getting this unsightly texture pop ins (that may not be technically correct but visually that is what appears to be happening) on water reflections when I face certain angles.

I've run into this problem with several different water replacers, so I don't think they are the problem (the above iamges were taken with Enhanced Water)

The pop-ins can also be yellow and purple. They only seem to affect Far_nifs added by mods; the landscape and vanilla reflectees aren't affected.

Any help as to finding the cause of the problem would be appreciated.

I don't have an answer to the problem, but have you tried the OBGE Liquid Water yet? It's seriously by far the best water replacer and it might bypass the problem you're having with the default water entirely.

Does that have any impact on FPS (compared to normal water reflections). I'm extremely cautious about installing OBGE anyway since the last time I tried things went disastrously wrong...

As long as you don't change any of the reflections ini settings and you run no shaders alongside it, there isn't any impact on FPS as far as I can tell. If you install the OMOD you don't have to have OBGE installed beforehand and you can just disable the omod if it doesn't work out. But that most likely still wont fix the texture pop in. I imagine you could disable statics reflection if you'd rather have no texture pop in than statics reflections.
