texture replacers of the Vanila flavour

Post » Sun Feb 14, 2010 10:48 pm

Hi all, I used to play way back when the game was released on xbox and PC, and now I'm back, I had a huge RPG shaped hole in my heart that only Morrowind could fill. I've got it installed, got some basic mods that sharpen things up a bit, but no drastic changes. I'm looking to update the look of the game a little, I don't want it to look different, just better.

I've been watching Connary, praying for a release, but in the mean time I'm wondering if there are any texture replacers that keep the vanila look and feel? I've been searching planet elderscrolls and a few other sites. No luck, so I put it to the community! What do you guys think are the best texture replacers out there?

Thanks to anyone who takes time to answer! :foodndrink:

Not sure what you mean by that, since 99% of all the textures are on PES.

I recommend Mr. Swiveller for you. His work is great, and keeps the same mood of the original. (he's on PES)
In the Graphics! thread, there is a http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/956115-graphics-to-those-asking-about-graphics-mods-start-here/page__view__findpost__p__13811799 (scroll down a bit)
You might also want to look at http://web.archive.org/web/20080514081136rn_1/ltm.ufrealms.net/textpacks/

You can also use Connary's older textures, which look great and are close to the original also. They can be found through the megaupload link in http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1082054-connarys-retextures-gonne/page__view__findpost__p__15763006

Oh, and for armor/weapons textures, Darknut is your man.
Also check out the work of Alaisiagae. She has lots of little great texture replacers. (both of the modders are on PES)
