I'm posting here because my understanding is that loose files (such as textures) are loaded instead of their bsa packed counterparts. Which makes this about the game, not about the mods.
I added some map mods and the textures aren't loading.
- the textures were installed
- they worked before
I had a Windows meltdown after uninstalling a driver. Hopefully that's good. Skyrim plays, but the errors were ridiculous and unresolvable so I'm starting over: new game and slooooowly adding mods. Not loading the loose files could have been the problem. but I've deleted all those saves so it's moot now. My hope is that I don't have to re-install since that is a process that takes forever because of Steam.
I install to c:\games instead of the default location. No directories were set up were they don't belong (eg: c:\Program "whatever"). Is there a setting regarding the default directory?
Steam did an update and seems to be working. After the update I verified the game.
Oddly, the scripts seem to work fine -- Atlas Map Markers, specifically.
