re-texturing.. crazy shiney!

Post » Sat Jan 11, 2014 5:34 am

So i'm using photoshop and I've finished re-texturing using the nvidia filter in photoshop. Everything in my house is CRAZY shiney.. How do I use the filter for the _n.dds file so it doesn't reflect so much light? I'm talking wood and wallpaper reflecting like metal.

edit:

or is it something I have to change in NifSkope? I've tried changing a few things with photoshop nvidia filter but some walls reflect shiney and some dont even though they use the same texture.

1) might be your normal map

2) might be "glossiness" setting in nif's LightingShaderProperties

3) might be specular in nif's LightingShaderProperties (if so, uncheck)

...or might also be stg totally different, you never know... :-)

You rock buddy thank you. It took me a little while to find the check mark for specular but that was it.. thank you very much. Now i don't have to live in a high gloss world.
