tgm saveable?

Is there any way to get tgm to stick to a savegame? so when you re-load that save you don't have to console and tgm again?

thanks.

First off, why are you playing with tgm?
Second, why save tgm when it takes 2 seconds to reset it?

First: I've played the game in every way with and without tgm from day one. I payed for the game and should be able to play it however it want and it's really of no concern to you? Does it affect you in some way how I play my game? I think not.

Second: It was just a question looking for a simple yes or no answer, not looking for a debate.

1. Getting a bit defensive huh? Cheating is still cheating, no justification can be made for using 'tgm' constantly. Like you said, it is of no concern to me, but it seems pretty pointless to play with tgm. You use console commands to get your weight limit up too?

2. This should have been posted in the GECK section.

(1. Quite frankly, why are you even playing a game if you're not gonna let it challenge you? It'd be like playing chess with yourself but to make every piece on your side a Queen.)

Aaaaanyway, no I don't think tgm is saveable, but it takes half a second to get the console up and an additional second to type in three letters so even if it was possible I think it's redundant.

I sometimes used tcl and tgm in Skyrim and saved and when I reloaded I did not have them active.
Might be different for New Vegas though, could always try through trial and error.
On the other hand, there is a file in the New Vegas folder which is a... INO file? Anyway, it's some kinda file you can open up with the default text program, there might be a line there for tgm which you could alter. It's some sort of config file.

defensive no, tired of dealing with asshats like you... yes. and as i stated i've played the game though, several times with out the use of any cheats, but glad you assumed i got the game and first thing i did was ~ and tgm... *shakes head* bottom line is, its in there for a reason, debugging etc... why not use it if i feel like it...

why would i post a questoin about a cheat in the geck section?

1. That's flaming.
2. I did not assume that. I did on the other hand that since you want a permanent tgm that you are going to use it for a prolonged period of time assume that you are going to constantly use it for the current playthrough. But you assuming that I'm assuming things leads nowhere.
3. I'm not saying you can't use it, I'm not saying you aren't allowed to use. I just think that it's weak to use it unless it's for bugs, playtesting and getting out of scenarios where you have screwed yourself over. (Example: Getting stuck inside Quarry Junction with only one save and not enough ammo or Sneak to get out.) And that you got so defensive about it makes me curious as to why you're using a permanent tgm. I'm on my 9th character and I still don't use cheats, hell, I modded the game to be even more brutal yet I don't use cheats. I'm simply curious why you use it. If you don't like being challenged then why bother playing it?(And again, it's a question, not a form of statement, but a question, I really want to know why you're using tgm, don't be so defensive about it, just give me some reasons behind it. I'm not going to try and tell you to 'stop' using it, I just want to debate the usage of it.)
4. Cause that area is the more technical one?
5. That's the second time you've flamed.
6. I realize that that wasn't your point but I'm still telling you that it takes 2 damn seconds to type it in so a permanent tgm and this thread are completely redundant.
7. You're welcome. :)

[edit]

Sorry if I came off as seemingly aggressive.
Wasn't my intention.
I just think:
a. Two seconds is something you can spare.
b. That this thread kinda is redundant, like asking to be able to hotkey 'tcl'.
c. We should be able to keep a civil conversation and/or debate about the reasons for a permanent 'tgm.

Again, sorry if you found my posts intrusive.

When somebody ask for help in this section, why not give useful info without the lecture? And how can anyone cheat in a solo game?

People can cheat very easily in a solo game, it's whenever you exploit something that the developer did not intend to use in the game.

The OP was being rude and he responded. He also did give some useful info.

1When somebody ask for help in this section, why not give useful info 1. without the lecture? 2. And how can anyone cheat in a solo game?
1. Where's the fun in that?
2. When a game is designed for a certain ruleset that the players need to follow and abide the players can try to bend those rules to suit in their favor, and as long as they don't break the rules, it's not cheating. But whenever a player goes against the game design and breaks it completely then it's considered cheating even if it is a singleplayer game.

(Where the hell is this mentality coming from about cheating? Why do some people think it's only cheating if it's done in a multiplayer game? It's a really bad justification that "It's my game, I can do whatever I want with it", cause while it's correct that you own the game it isn't your game, it is the developers game, and they set the rules, if you break the rules there is no justification for it, you have cheated. But it's fine, you can cheat, you are allowed to cheat, but never ever try to weasle your way out of it by saying it's "not cheating" when you are clearly breaking the game rules set in the first place. As long as you admit that you are cheating then it's fine. As to the dear OP here, I am not on a crusade to stop him and any others from cheating. Again, I'm simply curious as to why he wants a permanent tgm, and since this is a forum I had hoped he would discuss this with me.)
((This was not meant for you Gamestter, it was a generalization for all the players that has this sort of mentality about cheating in singleplayer games.))

I think increasingly people only consider cheating to be cheating if:

1) Someone sees you do it (getting caught)

and

2) You cheat to gain an advantage over a direct competitor (see scenario 1)

It's a lack of integrity issue, imo. But what is puzzling to me is how a game can be fun if it isn't a challenge. Where's the sense of accomplishment?

No idea.
I stopped playing Skyrim for just this reason.
Misc items are all crap, there's no reason to carry anything around but perhaps ore, valuble gems and souls gems.
Just about every weapon is crap when you Smith one yourself and get it to Legendary.
Every enemy becomes either damage sponge or way too easily killed.
And no quest has any reward that is worthwhile.

There was nothing left to do.
No gear left to collect.
Nothing worthwhile in Dungeons except Ebony weapons to sell but considering I had 65.000 gold I stopped caring.
No point in gaining more levels.
No point in doing quests.
And not even the combat remained fun.

I mean, Borderlands is a way more fun game than Skyrim is.
Borderlands. The game with about 1000 copy pasted Jason Voorhees.
And why?
Cause there was always a chance to find a better weapon and the combat became brutal.

With Skyrim, there was nothing left to accomplish but quests for their storylines.
But if I wanted a good story then I'd read a book which doesn't have an hour of boring, stale, repetitive gameplay in between every paragraph.

That's why I'm so curious about the OP.
How can a game be fun with god-mode on?
I remember using cheats on San Andreas when I was younger cause I found the system [censored] when I died so easily and lost every single item so I used the car flying cheat and the all weapons cheat.
But the car flying cheat was just because of my mesmarized obsession about it.
And the all weapons cheat was used here and there but I didn't use it every time I died.
So the game could still be challenging, and it was most of the time, even with all weapons it could be devastating.
But god mode?
.... Why?

But that's only part of what he asked :P

I'd assume it was created by Bethesda for testing purposes(?) or to make us console users jelly.

The only use that the console has to me is to deal with some sort of game altering bug. I lost all of the weapons Cass was carrying when I went into and out of a casino. The thing is that I left Cass outside and she still lost them, so I used the console to get them back(I did not want to finish the game without Oh Baby or the Holorifle). I also used the console to fix a bug Johnson Nash was having in Primm where he was standing in the middle of the road while he was walking to his home after I got the new sheriff. He just waited in the middle of the road and I couldn't trade with him. I went onto the wiki, found the solution, used the console to kill and then resurrect him and he walked into his home and I could trade with him.

These are two examples where I allow myself to use the console.
