I think all black suits them fine, it represents their ideals and their plans quite perfectly.

I've always sorta assumed the six-sided star thing on the http://lindseyseale.files.wordpress.com/2012/01/skyrim-robes2.jpg was their symbol.

The Thalmor have no need for such concepts. There is only the immaterial.

I kind of like the jewish six sided star as a symbol, sort of makes me imagine the fornication between anu and paddy.

That's actually how I've seen the symbol used in Hinduism. It's like a really sixist yin-yang (even worse than the regular yin-yang) The upward-pointing triangle represents things like purity, masculinity, and improvement, while the downward pointing one represents impurity, femininity, and degradation.

I was replaying the MQ in Skyrim and actually noticed that the banners in the Thalmor embassy are adorned with the same symbol as the Thalmor's buckle.

I kind of see the Aldmeri Dominion as the real life Third Reich and the Thalmor being the Nazi regime and Valenwood being like Austria because of the Thalmor absorbing it into their empire and referring to the Bosmer as their cousins as for the Khajiit maybe the Hungarians?

Anybody have any more ideas on what it represents? Is there anywhere else in TES this symbol appears?

 Really?!
I've been referencing Thalmor robes for several weeks....Now I feel stupid for not noticing that symbol at all.

This is what I had come up with: http://kourumi.deviantart.com/gallery/37234001#/d51oj1n

There is a Thalmor flag. It's together with all the other banners in the CK, under clutter somewhere.

Really? I can see a yellow 8-point star on a black background. You sure you haven't overrided the texture somehow?

On my phone right now, so can't post pics, but I saw it only a couple of days ago while doing some cluttering. I'll show you tomorrow.

Not the best pic I know, but look at the top of the banner and you'll see the symbol.
